Oh dear, another house-dress, and with those ugly lug soled shoes. Not sure what else to say, but just no, hope she ups her game a little dresses a little better.

    1. At least this house dress is belted, lol. It adds a bit of shape to her usual house dresses. Those shoes are a head scratcher though.

Could have been worse, she could be the one wearing the yellow crocs…

Agree! In particular about the shoes!

Queen Camilla is 75 years old and doing a fabulous job, energetic, smiling, generous. The dress is not a house dress at around $1000 :-); although perhaps not to your taste, she seems to enjoy this shaped dress and those shoes, so good on her for her enormous effort when so many others her age would probably just like a quiet life with lots of naps!

  2. This was an excellent visit. I'm glad the Queen is president of this charity, well done to her. This charity does fabulous work, highlighting a serious problem that more and more people are becoming afflicted with. Anything to highlight the problem can only be positive and help. This dress is appropriate and looks good. The skirt of the dress has plenty of movement, great! I don't have a problem with her shoes. She is obviously going with comfort, she may have a foot issue, who knows, but whatever now is comfortable, I say, more important, good for her.

Love your positive comment and fully agree!
The shoes look comfortable and not bad.
Little suggestion though: paint them blue?

Ava, I eco your words. The shoes might not be our style, but I'm sure they are been chosen for many reasons.
And for the ones compering her to the late Q Elizabeth, she used the same shoes for 50 years, with a minor alteration: a bow or a buckle and always black, we love (ed) the Queen and perhaps now we don't remember, but by I'm sure that a times her choice was also criticized or judged.

I think Camilla looks nice in this shirtwaist-style dress. I understand HM has foot pain from bunions so I would imagine her choice of footwear is carefully considered for any occasion. I know there are some people who do not the shoes she is wearing to this event but perhaps a bit of consideration for nearly 75 year old lady who has to walk and be on her feet for extended periods of time while experiencing pain. Personally, I like her shoes. I rather like her simple daytime style.

Queen Elizabeth had a great deal of pain in her legs and feet, yet she ALWAYS looked wonderful in her 90's !!! Even until a day or so before her death! This woman belies belief, she's only in her 70's, wanted this position, yet now, doesnt want to look the part, just get the perks. Horrible :(

She will turn 76 in July, and at that age one often has foot issues. I think it is fair that people wear shoes they are comfortable in, whether it looks good to others or not. - Ellie

Nowadays being 75 is not old, I am 76 years old active and fit. I understand that Queen Camilla has foot pain from bunions, she could have had surgery years ago to correct the problem, as for the shirt dress, it is just ok and the shoes are very ugly. I miss Queen Elizabeth she was always so well dressed.

    2. mjt, the success of that sort of foot surgery/correction is not always given. In fact, a lot of orthopeadics do not recommend it. To me it seems that QC has found a pair of shoes doing the job quite nicely for daytime events that are not overly formal and I am respecting that choice of hers, although it might look not high-fashion. But here comfort comes first.

I wouldn't say the dress is ugly but the shoes are.

Shoes are apparently very comfortable, cause QC is wearing them often. Maybe in blue would have been better? Nothing wrong with this dress for a working visit to a hospital. I suppose she wants the media to focus on the content of her visit and not her clothes

Another colour of this particular style of shoes and it would already have made a lot of difference ...

  10. Belle allure dans cette robe mais l'imprimé n'est pas vraiment à son avantage ; je l'aurais vu dans des tons plus estivaux ; pour les chaussures, elles me paraissent très confortables !

Let's suppose she does not have any special foot problems. What is expected from her? Sure not vertiginous high heels. So the heels are OK, the form is good, the colour too (not bi-colour shoes, which were hated on her as well, for whatever reason). I think she looks good for a business-as-usual day appointment. QC is wearing a dress style that suits her, the shoes are fine, although I am not a fan of the thicker sole for looks, but for comfort, yes. Perhaps a darker color with this dress, but overall a nice look.

This lady does not look well.maybe that is why her shoes are so heavy, maybe her back is bad. Be kind ladies, she just hasn’t looked well since the Queen passed away.

Some of these comments in QC clothing are just undisgraceful. She is not a Model to come around on high heels - that is for the younger Generation. HMs priorities are most certainly in a higher Level. And she always looks very pretty.

What I like about this dress is that it is store-bought, which is probably an intentional move, it makes QC more approachable. However, she looks boring and dowdy. Nobody expects her to parade high fashion, but her role requires more elegance. In this respect I think Princess Benedikte of Denmark is an excellent example.

Not too bad today. The shoes are a bit out of place. But maybe they have a better grip and makes feel safer. I am all for that. css

Another 'shirtdress' styled garment and those clunky shoes. At least get them in another colour.
