On June 3, 2023, the second son of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie, Prince François of Luxembourg, was christened in Fischbach Church. Most of the Grand Ducal family and the Lannoy family attended the christening. Prince François was born on March 27, 2023. Princess Alexandra, sister of Crown Prince Guillaume, became the godmother of Prince François. Count Christian de Lannoy, Crown Princess Stephanie's brother, became the godfather of Prince François.

Pss Alexandra and a member of Stephanies Family are the godparents of the little one. MT looked lovely in the light blue suit. Stephanies dress had a lovely shade of pink. Little Prince Charles was and is a sweetheart, he looks so cute. css

Everyone is looking great! I like these colours and models on Stephanie and M-T. It seems like a warm and fun family occasion, just as it should be. François definitely takes after Charles. Charles' jacket seems a bit too small but he's turning into a professional royal already :-) Does anyone know who the families in green and orange are? They all look lovely. I like the coordinated look of the ladies in orange.
ReplyDeleteIt's Stephanie's sisters + daughters in green and red. She is the youngest of 8 siblings, many of whom also have numerous children, as we can see in the group picture, where other than the Grand Ducal Family it's all Stephanie's siblings, siblings-in-law, nieces and nephews ;)

Très élégant tailleur/pantalon de Maria-Teresa dont le blazer cintré met en valeur sa petite silhouette mais pourquoi donc ce noeud Lavallière ; il cache en partie les broderies ?! Dommage !

Princess Stephanie has a nice hairstyle and this time a dress of a very suitable cut and color. The only thing I don't like are her earrings with tassels. For such an occasion, she should have brought out something classic from the Luxembourg jewelry collection.
ReplyDeleteThe costume by Alexander McQueen is beautiful on the model, but on Marie Therese's corpulent short figure it looks crumpled and splattered. Why is she only wearing pants? After all, it is less comfortable and less pretty on her figure. Strong shiny makeup looks unnatural.
Princess Alexandra dress with a large pattern is not the best choice. It optically deforms the figure.
I really like the coordinated red family outfit of Stephanie's brother - Count Lannoy. Beautiful girls and beautiful (and appropriate) dresses. I mean, today the Lannoy family won it over the Grand Duke family across the board.

The fact that Maria Teresa is a little lady is probably the reason she is wearing suits. It makes her look longer. A skirt or a dress makes her look shorter than she is unless it is a long evening dress. Long dresses make little women look longer. I think she has the same McQueen suit in black or navy but with the same embroidery. Who says that pants are less comfortable than dresses or skirts ? It is she who have to wear them. I suppose if it was the contrary she would not wear them so many times.
DeleteLittle Prince Charles is super cute. His mother looks great and while his grandmother suits the pale blue colour, I’m disappointed to see yet another trouser suit. I don’t think she can be described as corpulent, Stephanie. She’s actually done a fantastic job in losing weight and has an enviable figure. Don’t think short requires trousers. Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, was short as was her mother Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Both were elegant in dresses for formal occasions.

DeleteSome say it's because she has "cankles." I've noticed she started wearing only pants (and long formal gowns when required) after the knee surgery she had a few years back. I'm thinking it might have left a large, long scar as well as a bit of a visual "deformity" to the knee. *And* I can understand why se might not want to share that with world.

Oh my, have Gabriel and Noah of Nassau grown up! When did that happen? Seems that Prince Sebastien has stayed in Jordan for some extra holidays after him attending the royal wedding there. GD MT again in trousers. I have not seen her wearing a dress or skirt in recent months. HGD Stephanie looks very good, very soft and happy. Also great weather for that happy family occasion.

ReplyDeleteStephanie looks radiant. Her hair and makeup are great and the colour suits her well. Not the biggest fan of the awkward shoulder arrangement, looks a bit haphazardly pulled together, but oh well.
Maria Teresia's suit looks great and the colour is fantastic for a baptism. I just wish she had sized up a tiny bit.
Alexandra's dress is quite dark and short, but not terrible. I prefer Claire's take on the floral theme in this case.

ReplyDeleteStephanie's outfit was a lovely shade of pink, fit her well, but was not thrilled with the 'off the shoulder' look. It was not well defined, looked as if the sleeve had slipped. However, she is a beautiful woman, her children and husband are handsome and adorable. Princess Alexandra's dress, was too dark, ill fitting and too short. MT's outfit was odd with the low cut neck line and pants with some sort of stripe or addition to the pants as well as the sizing was off somehow. The rest of the family looked splendid, as most families do when they gather for a special occasion.

ReplyDeleteThe Pantsuit GD MT is wearing, looks fabulous. The embellishments on the jacket are lovely adding interest. Love the pale blue color of this pantsuit. Her hair with fine light streaks looks soft and becoming, she wears short hair so well, suits her.
ReplyDeleteStephanie looks beautiful, soft looking dress, pretty color. Her hair up, looks divine. The only quibble is the tassel earrings. Some lovely pearls from the Royal jewel vault would have looked wonderful.
Little Charles, is a delight, what a gentle, sweet little boy he is.

Apart from princess Alexandra's dress (a bit too short) all the ladies are correctly and well decked out for the occasion IMO.
