This year marks King Carl Gustaf's 50 years as Sweden's head of state. The King ascended the throne on September 15, 1973. As part of the celebration of the King's 50th anniversary on the throne, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia are visiting Sweden's 21 counties in 2023. On June 4, the King and Queen visited Gothenburg, the capital of the Vastra Gotaland county. Gothenburg was founded 400 years ago.
I love the suit on Q. Silvia. The colour and fit are excellent, and her jewelry (especially the brooch) compliments the look beautifully. The only thing I would remove is the jumble of bracelets she’s wearing. I’m sure they’re family gifts or momentos, but they add nothing to the outfit. Unfortunately Q. Camilla and Q. Sofia do the same thing. (V.M.)

This is a beautiful, elegant ensemble. The jacket particularly is lovely. The color is gorgeous. A very chic and stylish outfit. The two tone shoes are a welcome addition. Love her pearl necklace and brooch. Her double pearl bracelet would have been enough.

ردحذفAs always, Queen Silvia is the picture of refinement and elegance. Happy to see a warmer shade of lipstick instead of the purplish shade she favors, and QS has been blessed with truly gorgeous hair. The pearl choker and brooch are exquisite. But I don't care for the over-large bag with a loose flap. It adds nothing to the ensemble, and I wonder whether royal ladies actually carry anything in these large totes besides a cell phone and tissues for emergencies. S.M.

ردحذفShe sticks to a length that is good for her, ignoring fashion commands, I applaud to that. Hr two-pieces are usually lovely and this one is no exception. She has fabulous hair, each time I see her I am playing with the idea that she is wearing a wig until her natural colour grows out ... I know, only a dream, but she would look wonderful with shiny grey and dark eyes.

Sadly, this is one time I do not like the Queen's suit, the fit is ok, but the color does not suit her.
