On 23 June, Luxembourg celebrated the Grand Duke’s birthday, which is also commonly referred to as the National Day. Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie, Prince Félix, Princess Claire, Prince Sebastian and Prince Louis attended the annual "Te Deum" church service at the Notre-Dame Cathedral.
On June 23, an official ceremony was held at the Luxembourg Philharmonie as part of the National Day 2023 celebrations. Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie, Prince Félix, Princess Claire, Prince Sebastian and Prince Louis attended the ceremony.
Happy to see prince Sebastian making an appearance.

ReplyDeleteI do too, but I think it´s a terrible choice for a day outfit when the men are in morning suits. This blue ensemble had better been saved for a cocktail party or evening event.

ReplyDeleteWow, Stephanie looks wonderful in both of these outfits! I like the simplicity of the white dress against her beautiful hat, bag and shoes. The printed maxi dress is fresh and summery, and her hair is gorgeous. She’s chosen very well here as both dresses flatter her shape. (V.M.)

Stephanie look quite nice in the cream dress for the church service--just wish her hat didn't look mashed onto her head. Her dress for the Philharmonic event is gorgeous and so is she! MT outfit is a great color for her but the outfit is wrong for the Te Deum and is just floaty--appearing too wide--to flatter her. Princess Claire--she must have forgotten she had to attend 2 major ceremonies. I have been so disappointed in her fashion choices in the past few months--she used to be such treat to see but now...its just nice she attends.

DeleteInteresting that only HGD Stephanie and HGD Guillaume had a wardrobe change, and both of Stephanie's dresses were the best of the day, IMO. I also find it interesting that GD Maria Teresa has limited her fashion choices to pant suits for the last few weeks.

GD MT looks nice, but her outfit seems a tad casual, when you consider how everyone else is attired.
That shapeless red dress paired with a Black jacket must be one of the ugliest looks this year.

ReplyDeleteWith the Luxembourgs, I'm always a bit torn between admiring their casual approach to official outings and being... underwhelmed. Maria Teresa looks great and she's definitely following the late Queen's rule of wearing bold colours to be seen! I love Claire in red, but the choice of the black blazer baffles me. It doesn't really match the vibe of the dress, nor is the colour particularly inspiring, which makes it a bit of a strange gala meets business mix. Stephanie however is the oddest of the bunch. I love the white dress on her and the blue accessories are fun, but the hat looks like it came straight out of the 90s and since nobody else is wearing one, it seems very out of place. The second dress isn't bad, but it looks like she's going for lunch on a cruise ship.

I think Stephanie wins here for both outfits. Love the long pale blue number. My only criticism is the slight underwear line visible under the cream dress but it really isn't the end of the world! :-)

Uh. Apart from HGD Stéphanie, who looks good and fresh in both outfits, nothing really adds up with the other two ladies. Pss Claire used to have a very classy style of her own but it seems these days are gone now. Her red and black ensemble looks rather harsh and makes her also look wider than she really is. A hat would/could have softened that look perhaps, but... alas. And why can't GD Maria Teresa be bothered with 1. a hat, and 2. a dress. Her obession with jumpsuits seems overwhelming right now. Sorry, no, although the colour is nice.
