Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands presented the 2023 Silver Carnations (Zilveren Anjers) of the Prince Bernhard Culture Fund at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. This year the Silver Carnations were awarded to Trudy van Riemsdijk, Wesley Sekewael and Eef Arnolds. Every year, the Prince Bernhard Culture Fund rewards persons or organizations that have made great contributions in fields of culture, nature or science in the Netherlands.
How wonderful to see Princess Beatrix out and about--she looks marvelous and her outfit is lovely. I also rather like the outfit of the lady in the floral coat--quite elegant.

DeletePrincess Beatrix looks as good as she usually does, but for me the star here is the lady on the far left in the cream embroidered coat and cream trousers. What a lovely outfit; I particularly like the cut and the styling of both the coat and the flared trousers. They both look good on her.

The lady with the yellow jacket is wearing an excellent combo in a geometric style, all the way to the necklace! The lady in the floral jacket with white in trousers and top looks wonderful, and if the lady in pink swapped into where the lady in yellow is standing, the floral jacket would be beautifully complemented with the pink and vice versa. - Ellie

I think deadeggs was referring to the other, non royal ladies present, who might not have the means at hand like Pss Beatrix for buying their clothes, or having them tailored. But, perhaps, they might. Perhaps they are rich people as well. You never know. I believe her comment wasn't meant to be disrespectful.

I was giving a compliment to the three ladies with Princess Beatrix for their choice of fashion and style of the moment.
Now here’s the punchline ……….
“PROBABLY, they have to, like me, work on a limited budget when choosing and stocking up their wardrobe”.
Nothing more, nothing less.

ReplyDeleteFormer Queen Beatrix looks lovely. However, the highlight of the garments on the ladies at this occasion goes to the woman in the floral light coat jacket and white pants. The jacket is stunning!

The floral coat is a work of art, what great craftmanship, its stunning. A really unique piece. This would have to be my favorite outfit so far this year.
