On the evening of May 10, 2023, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria attended a charity event held for the benefit of The World Childhood Foundation at Gröna Lund, an amusement park in Stockholm. All proceeds of the charity party will go to the Foundation. Princess Madeleine was going to attend the charity event but Princess Leonore fell down and broke her arm. Princess Madeleine had to cancel her participation.

To me Queen Silvia’s sartorial choices are more youthful than Victoria’s. Silvia looks free ah and modern in her blazer and trousers. These dowdy dresses Victoria keeps wearing make her look older than her age.

ReplyDeleteVictoria est élégante dans ce manteau rose pâle sur une robe imprimée dont je trouve les pans trop asymétriques ; à la place de la couleur mauve de ses chaussures, je pense que du Bordeaux ou gris foncé aurait apporté un meilleur look ; ravie de revoir ses boucles d'oreilles ressemblant presque à des fleurs de lilas !
ReplyDeleteQueen Silvia looks very good and perfectly dress for an amusement park outing. CP Victoria's dress is not a good choice. Sleeves too long, uneven hem and a pussy bow. She looks swamped in fabric. I can't see any coat that will fit over a dress like this. If you need a coat, come up with something else to wear under it. The coat itself has a lovely color.

The Queen looks superb, love the red jacket and black pants. The pearl necklace was a nice addition. She looks very modern and stylish.

the dress itself is nice, for an outdoor summer party, but here with the other elegant ladies who are perfectly coordinated, CP looks completely out of place. (and the coat makes it even worse). I dont understand, to what use are CP' s stylists? They should be able to find an outfit that is perfectly suited for each event.

ReplyDeleteThese ladies are princess Madeleine's best friends. How sad she couldn't be there! But Leonore had to undergo a surgery so it's understandable that Madeleine stays at home
