  1. Love the overall look of the lady in the dark blue dress. QS - not so much? a bit dowdy and way too many chains.

Those chains each hold a religious medal. She never takes them off.

To many tiny necklaces, one larger statement necklace would have been better and stand out more! I am sure the citizens of Houston enjoyed her attending! Fitzhugh

But doing so, it would not have been herself, she loves the tiny neckless and bracelets, it's just her. Don't love it, but find it a bit sweet, for lack of better wording.
However the suit screens indeed PJ!!

Entire outfit is a no; too busy of a print, a pair of plain dark trousers would have been better, and get rid of all the little pieces of jewelry.

  5. I could have liked it would she've been wearing different trousers (one single solid colour like the pink shade seen on the top). This way it gives pyjama/house dress vibes.

    1. Totally agree with you and Anon 17 33. Plain dark trousers and the tunic top would have looked great.

  6. I like the Queen’s ensemble but perhaps, in the end, I would have to agree with other bloggers that for the pants, a single solid dark colour would be better.
Queen Sofia has always liked adorning herself with bits and pieces of jewellery.
She seems to take good care of her health, skin, hair etc.
I’ve read that she is a vegetarian.
Later this year she will celebrate her 85th birthday.
    Bravo madam.

Nice as a top, the pants are too much. css

Way better too much pattern. Big prints on a short person and an awkward cut make this an unfortunate choice. It makes it impossible tare the person wearing it.

Short? Queen Sofía is 1,75 tall...

  9. The Queen's ensemble is pretty, though as others have said, one block color for the top might have been better overall. A nice but busy pattern.
