  1. The dress is fine on the model, however not really suitable for Qn Maxima.

Maxima looks much better in stronger colours, this is too pale for her !!

    1. its nice to see her in neutral colors from the usual bold bright ones. if only the dress was a size bigger

    2. I agree, Anon 17 19. This is too pale and make her look washed out. Certainly think the dress could have been longer.

A no from me; Dress too short, a ton of wrinkles and ruffles, colour is not good for Maxima, and fit is way too tight from sleeves to overall fit on her torso. Nice smile, that is about it.

The dress is waaay too tight, and the color doesn't do a thing for QM. But, the earrings are spectacular. DIQ

  6. Joli modèle que je trouve un peu trop moulant sur Maxima surtout avec cette ceinture que j'aurais bien vue en tissu ; le peu que je vois des boucles d'oreilles me paraît superbe !

Too tight and too many wrinkles. It is deep down a nice dress.

As someone very near Maxima's age, I give her full credit to wear this dress, and in my view pulling it off remarkably well. Sure it might look tight in places and some might say it's short, but she still looks great in it. It shows off her statuesque figure beautifully, and it is seasonally appropriate. And last but not least, her charisma and personality are her best accessories and makes it all work. Nice to see her in neutral tones too.

I couldn't have said it better.
      Absolutely agreed.
I just want to add that this dress seems to have been designed for statuesque figures.
      Enough said.

It's time to pass this dress on to someone else. She can do so much better.

Too short, too pale, too frilly, too small, and better on a younger person. - Ellie

Seriously, did she look in a mirror before she decided to walk out of her palace in this dress.

A little tight. I really do wonder about the long hair trend. I have a bob and I'm two decades younger than her! I'm also the only woman with short hair in my general social groups (gym, work, etc). Some people have lovely hair but a lot of them, like Maxima, would do better shorter I think.

Oh my, every inch of that dress is way too tight. Has she gained weight or did the dress shrink? Did she not look in a mirror before exiting the palace? Total FAIL. |Melanie|

I think this dress would fit better on one of her daughters. It is nice, I believe it washes her out. Also a little snug I would say. css

Like often with Queen Maxima when she decides to wear an old dress again it is too tight and too short. There are 2 possibilities or the dress is not well looked after and shrunk, or QM gain weight.

For once I can see her figure properly, interesting. Although she is not as slim as I thought, she seems totally at ease with her feminine body. However, this pale very tight dress is not very convincing. Her enthusiasm and glow are incredible and make my criticism irrelevant.

    1. That is a sensible comment which often comes to my mind when reading on this blog. However in this case I don't find anything positive to say about the dress.

She looks just fine: kind and smiling and engaged, and clothed. Why the demand, dear commenters, for perfection?… isn’t normal, relatable and pretty ok? She could have bought a new dress, chosen a different colour or size, etc … but isn’t she just fine as she is? - AnnaLise
