King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden turned 77. The King was congratulated on his birthday – in keeping with tradition – by the Swedish Armed Forces and the public in the Outer Courtyard at the Royal Palace. Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel and Prince Julian watched the celebration from the balcony of the Royal Palace.

Little Oscar (not quite so little now) keeping warm in Mum's coat ! Lovely blue coat, by the way. Blue seems to have been the theme of the day, only Queen Silvia decided otherwise. Estelle is so cheerful, a joy to behold, and very smart too with her blue gloves.

Pour cette journée venteuse et froide, tout le monde a essayé de se vêtir chaudement ; j'aurais bien aimé voir de plus près le magnifique regard du prince Julian. La petite fille qui offre des fleurs au roi est trop craquante !

ردحذفHow Estelle has grown. I love the picture of Oskar warming himself in his mum's coat. I remember my children doing that.
ردحذفPrincess Estelle is turning into a beautiful girl, and she seems already a natural to her future job. In fact, all those children are lovely (although little Oscar often grumpy face). The only thing I don't like is the boys' long hairs, it give them a messy look.
