This dress is screaming eighties. She has been taking a lot of risks lately.

      You made me laugh!
Yes, that dress is SO 80’s that I had it in October of 1988. I have a picture of me wearing it.

Solo photo no.5 shows her age, not flattering

Es simplemente una mala foto. No entiendo por qué Helen ha escogido ésta habiendo otras mucho mejores:

Why is not flattering, we all age. She looks great for her age, I think.

You’re right that it’s not a particularly flattering photo - but “showing (her) age” is a normal thing we all should do! Yay for the wrinkles and lines that tell the story of our life.

Photo no.5: I see beautiful earrings. She is fifty now - she can't look like a thirty-year-old. I think, she looks good and the colour is very flattering.

    5. Which is normal. We all age, it shows the life she had and the stories that comes with each wrinkle.

    6. Not sure what exactly you mean by showing her age. I see a stunningly good looking lady, who I know has passed 50, but could comfortably pass for someone a decade younger. She's certainly wearing well.

What a troll Comment. She looks absolutely marvelous, doesn't matter her age. And I love the fashion risks with the retro style dresses, this one works. Looks great.

I'm afraid I don't see what is so bad about this photo. I see a very beautiful woman that has taken care of herself. Just look at her skin! How many women her age have a neck and decolletage that look so smooth? Trolls only comment to make themselves feel better. Obviously, Anon 19:59 feels she has her own shortcomings and needs to put others down in true bullying fashion.

Strange - I looked at it and thought she looked absolutely fine. Why does it matter if it shows her age? Which I don't think it does...

This dress is bringing a ‘80s Dynasty vibe with those wide shoulder pads! Despite the wide shoulders, I like the color for spring.

    1. I was immediately thinking of Dynasty, too. I was hoping to never see that kind of fashion again.

  6. Joli modèle dont la couleur est très printanière ; diamants et perles, j'adore !

Pretty color and nice look from the side. I do not like the rushed front of the skirt at all. It looks tacky. Some fashion reruns should never happen. Great earrings and shoes.

A mediocre look. Hair and make-up fine, but just another dress in a seemingly endless parade of forgettable polyester/viscose dresses. Amy

  10. This is a unusual dress with interesting features, which in this case the Queen wears beautifully. I love the fabric pattern and colors. The sleeves are very feminine looking, the length of the dress is perfect. The shoes, oh divine, love the color. Her diamond and pearl drop earrings are simply stunning, the pearls are a splendid size, of substance.

Letizia looks wonderful here--this pink is a gorgeous color for her. As for the 80s vibe--hello Dynasty. I like the dress except for the ruching below the waist in the middle of the dress--but Letizia has the right figure to look fabulous in this style. Her earrings are also stunners.

She looks great in pink! I love that this dress gives her some curves. She's so thin, this dress gives her a curvy figure and it suites her.

  14. This is a NO for me. The top is lovely, the bottom does not suit her shape or her thin legs. It would have looked so much nicer, with a solid pink skirt and full to give her more shape. She is not looking as bright in the face of late.

The queen looks lovely and very feminine. Why does she have to look younger???Some bloggers here are obsessed with this ridiculous notion. The superb earrings are simply divine.

The only thing I like about this dress is the fabric and the color. I don't like the style especially the rushed front of the skirt is not beautiful at all. All the rest as usual nothing extraordinary.

Agree...why look any younger than you are? We all age, some better than others, but it doesn't change the fact that it happens. There's only one alternative to getting older. I think she looks great!

  19. Is 80s fashion making a comeback? Letizia is getting away with it in this pink dress, but Kate didn't when she wore a hideous yellow frock last year (I believe). Having lived through the 80s I don't think it needs to be revisited.
