On March 29, Queen Maxima opened the 51st spring conference of the Dutch Society for Psychiatry (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychiatrie NVvP) at the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre. Queen Maxima gave a speech at the plenary opening. During the conference held under the motto 'Building connections together', more than 2,500 psychiatrists will exchange knowledge and experience.

Whilst the dress is gorgeous and perfect in shape, colour and fit, the hat on stage giving a speech is.. well… let’s say a bad idea. The shadows in her face distract the audience and must have looked quite weird from a distance.

Sorry do not like it one bit. She looks like it was put together from old antimacassar's. A hat to open a congrss is i.m.o. just too silly for words.

This is a very remarkable dress, but I think is too tight on her, and as usual she is either not wearing a brassiere or an ill fitting one. I like the hat,but definitely not paired with this romantic style dress. The pictures of her in front of the microphone with that hat, look somewhat strange, or out of place. Not a bad outfit, but could’ve been improved .

Agree with you Cherry Blossom. The dress is very nice, albeit a bit tight, but the hat looks out of place for the occasion, very weird while delivering a speech, she has to lift her head up to see the audience

The dress is beautiful & suits Maxima well. She could've gone up a size, but the dark fabric is forgiving. I just really despise the hat. Especially when giving a speech, your face shouldn't be covered up in some sort of Indiana Jones Tribute.

This is a stunning dress, the embossed features, are striking adding interest to this Navy dress, not overdone just right. I would love to see a full view of her dress on to see the fit. Love the hat. Very stylish and chic.
ردحذفNice dress and would a great dress on Maxima if she was wearing the correct size. Not a fan of the hat paired with the dress--I like the hat but not with this dress. Love she is still showing restraint with jewelry--her earrings are gorgeous.
