Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg visited the Centre Hospital of the North (CHdN - Centre Hospitalier du Nord) in Ettelbruck. The Centre Hospitalier du Nord is a multidisciplinary public hospital. The Hereditary Grand Duchess attended a round table meeting with the Luxembourg Association of Midwives (ALSF).

Stephanie looks great, just a tad tired, which is absolutely normal at this final stage of pregnancy. She has a very flattering hairstyle at the moment.

Because she IS not Catherine or Mary. Stephanie has never been much into fashion. And that is fine.
حذفWomen are each individuals who have such very different experiences with their pregnancies. Remember that Catherine had hyperemesis gravidarum, something neither Stephanie nor Mary has had (that we know), so each is different and as a woman I encourage each to do whatever they need to do to be healthy and happy while their body is doing all manner of crazy changes.
حذفActually, even the same woman can have different experiences with different pregnancies. As just one example, with my daughter I had such edema in my feet I could only wear Birkenstock’s (on the largest opening) or flip flops in a bigger size during my last trimester. With my 3 sons I was able to wear my own shoes, even heels, until the day I delivered. However there can be so many other things women go through with their bodies during this season.
I think she is a really good sport to be doing an event at this stage in her pregnancy- and looking just fine in a blouse, pants and scarf/shawl, like the other ladies are wearing, (certainly not pajamas) while doing it.

It makes her so much more relatable, doesn't it? At an advanced stage of pregnancy, comfort of the mother is what is important. It is wonderful if no extra weight has been gained and mom is runway ready, but that is unrealistic.

Fab hair, good hairstyle that suits her well. I find her natural, no heavy make up, no flashy clothes nor overdressed, etc … Youthful look, glowing mum-to-be. She does look a bit tired alright.
ردحذفStephanie is glowing--and her new hair style is so flattering. Its really hard to dress elegantly or look chic in the later stage of pregnancy--being comfortable is more important. Still, Stephanie looks good--especially with the blue shawl adding a pop of color that looks so great on her.

ردحذفHereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie is glowing in the last moments of this pregnancy. She does look a little tired, which is to be expected, however, her lovely relaxed face, beautiful hair and inner smile that radiates outwards says it all, she is truly happy and content.
ردحذفI adore Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie; love her to bits and am so thrilled for her that she and Guillaume are expecting another child. There is no question, afaic, that she is a delicate natural beauty, and seeing her lovely face and beautiful red-gold hair is always a joy to me. That said, I think it is ok, on a fashion blog, to comment on her sartorial choices in a way that is reasonable and not unkind. In this case, I agree with most of the commenters that the shawl is gorgeous; I think it would look even better paired with a dress in a coordinating color tailored for a lady in advanced pregnancy. A maternity dress in a beautiful fabric with detailing around the upper chest and shoulders, drawing the eye upward, would have been a perfect choice here, imo. As for shoes, flats make sense but I think that a more flattering style — something similar to a ballet flat, custom-made for comfort if necessary, would have been the best choice. I love, love, love Stephanie’s blouse, but its proportions are slightly wrong for her at the moment. I very much hope to see it on her again when circumstances are different :-).
