On the sidelines of the competitions of the FIS World Championships, a charity gala was held on February 12 at the Ineos Club House in Courchevel for the benefit of The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and the children of the Courchevel Sports Club.
The charity event attended by Prince Albert and Princess Charlene took place under the honorary presidency of Prince Albert. Along with a recital given by young pianist Stella Almondo, during the gala dinner, numerous artworks, wines, and sports accessories signed by renowned athletes were put up for auction to benefit the Foundation and the Club.

Charlene's dress would have been excellent with the waistband in place, as the model is wearing the dress. Without it the dress looks like a black mosquito net gathered with an elastic band around her waist, and it is no good at all. - Ellie

ردحذفWhat is wrong with black & dark colors? That gentleman's shoes were a desired "pop" of color. Why must everyone wear bright colors all the time? Dark colors can be very elegant. حذفI don't think Albert is suitably dressed in comparison to Charlene. She looks very good.
ردحذفThe men don't look as if they are attending the same event as most of the women (there is one lady in a plaid who isn't dressed like the other women). Its as if the men and women were attending different events.

As much as I like the Swiss fashion house AKRIS and their creations, I think this dress is better suited to Tatiana Santo Domingo, the wife of Andrea Casiraghi

Charlène a sorti cet élégant modèle de chez Akris, son couturier fétiche mais je ne pense pas que l'association de ces couleurs foncées lui conviennent bien surtout sous ce manteau noir ; des couleurs plus vives seraient plus à son avantage !

I agree with Ellie on the waistband for Charlene's dress. They all seem to attend very different events. I don't know the dress code for this and in addition to Charlene´s dramatic long dress and cape there is a lady in a cocktail dress on the left and another on the right wearing a very nice but school girlish glen-check dress. Agree that there's a random selection of outfits, though "formal" seems to be the main look for the ladies. However, the men are tie-less which would suggest casual. It's all a bit too black for me, though Princess Charlene's outfit is pleasant enough as is the short black dress with the embellished sleeves. Princess Charlene looks so much better with her hair darker

I usually love Charlene's gala dresses, but this one is a no. It's borderline cheap Halloween costume - the belt would've definitely improved the haphazard waistline and I also think she should've gone for more dramatic makeup (maybe a red lip?) to balance out the the dark colours and ditched the cape/coat at least for the pictures.

The gown Pss Charlene is wearing is lovely, but without the waistband the gown falls short of looking fabulous. The black long coat is a very interesting choice. I would love to see this gown worn without the coat, to see how it looks.

ردحذفI know that Charlene has a lot of fans out there, but really… who can say that this is a great look for her? The dress alone is nice but paired with that big dark coat it is just very strange. Somebody wrote Halloween and I agree
ردحذفI like the outfit as a whole even though a few changes would have enhanced the overall effect.
ردحذفA belt would have highlighted the waistline and I would have a preferred a black sleeves cape on this gown, which reminds me of a similar one often worn by Princess Mary.
Then, a more dramatic make- up would have made the difference.
This one looks a tad bland on Charlene's face or it Is just because of the strong lights.
As @Nika said , a dark red lipstick plus a shining gloss would have looked fabulous and an intense black eyeliner would have given depth and definition to her eyes.
I agree. Something is off with everything this the Princess is wearing these days. It's all dull and dramatic in a comically unfunny way. In South Africa, the Princess is very dear to all our hearts so this makes me sad. I don't mind the dark. I mind the ill fitting of it all. The Prince looks as he always does.
