This year marks King Carl Gustaf's 50th jubilee on the throne. King Carl Gustaf ascended the throne on 15 September 1973. As part of the celebrations of the jubilee, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia will visit Sweden's 21 counties in 2023. The royal couple first paid a visit to Södermanland County. On February 9, the King and Queen arrived by train at Nyköping central station in Södermanland, and were welcomed by Governor Beatrice Ask.

حذفHe was asked about his feelings about 50 years on the throne, then a follow-up question if he had thoughts about retiring (pension). The King answered Pension? What is that? The reporter replied: yes, what IS pension? The King again: yes, really WHAT IS pension? 🙄 A rather silly exchange of questions. I think the King tried to be funny. But his stare at the reporter combined with the tone he used gave a rather rude impression.
