On January 24, 2023, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde held a New Year's reception for the leaders of the European institutions based in Brussels, the permanent representatives accredited to the European Union, and the foreign diplomats and chiefs of mission accredited in Brussels. The traditional reception took place at the Royal Palace in Brussels.

    The Queen's hair is lovely, not sure about the dress, would love to see it in person, or close up photos of the pattern on the fabric. The shoes are well matched to her bag. clarice

    Non là franchement, Mathilde que j'aime beaucoup a l'air d'avoir pris 10 ans !!! (robe et coiffure), elle parait 60 ans !

    This is a beautiful dress, the patten on the fabric is beautifully done, just enough color and pattern. The dress fits well. The shoes and bag are a fabulous color, gorgeous outfit. Love her earrings. Her up do looks perfect.

    This is a very „vielle France“ look. You have to look twice to grasp the subtle touches. Very classy. No, she does not look like 60. She has given birth to four children and looks perfectly natural, like most of us, thank God.

    For the occasion and the room setting in the Royal Palace, I think she has well chosen her frock.
    Handbag and shoes add to the elegant, overall look.

    Un style de robe qui lui convient bien mais pas dans cette couleur que j'aurais vue plus vive ; élégant petit sac à mains assorti à ses chaussures ! Est ce que ce sont ses boucles d'oreilles à pendants de quartz rose que je vois ?!

    The dress is interesting and probably looks better in person. Love the shoes! She’s a beautiful woman but her hairstyle always ages her because it’s more of a classic throw back and doesn’t reflect a modern style.
