On December 4, 2022, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended the installation mass for the new Archbishop Martin Modeus at Uppsala Cathedral in Uppsala. Martin Modéus became the 71st Archbishop of the Church of Sweden since the first Archbishop, Stephanus, in 1164. The archbishop is the main representative of the church in Sweden.
Queen Silvia´s dress and coat are very nice. Beutiful colour and material. But the hat! Oh no, this is not a style of hat that suits her. I do not think I have ever seen her wear such an unbecoming hat.

Wow, that´s an impressive group of clergy in one photo, all capped and gowned.
ردحذفI like Silvia´s outfit - nice colour, rich texture and elegant style. The hat is unusual, and the minimal brim is very winter-y, although it also makes the hat look helmet-like in some photos.
I count 19 mitras. Sweden has 13 bishops and then there are at least two former archbishops in the picture. I suppose the others are visiting from abroad.
حذفThe coat looks magnificent with its rich colour and texture. Silvia wears those gemstone colours like nobody else. However, she should ditch the hat - it looks old-fashioned and really does her no favours. Maybe if she moved the flower a bit more to the side and pushed the whole thing a bit out of her face, but... no, let's just put it back into the wardrobe for good!

Lovely outfit for Queen Silvia but that hat!!! Oh, please, just toss it unless it can be restyled. Few women can successfully wear a cloche-style hat successfully as Silvia is proving here.

Fantastic color and texture on the coat which perfectly reflect the season. The hat shape/structure wouldn’t work for anyone. Reminds me of the dowdy flower hats from the American TV show Blossom in the 1990s!
