On December 14, 2022, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands paid a working visit to Nijkerk municipality of Gelderland. The Queen met with residents, volunteers and aid organizations about their experiences with poverty. In the Paashuis, a meeting place for by local residents, the Queen spoke to residents of Nijkerk.

Queen Maxima has a degree in Masters Degree in economics. And years of working to improve the lives of people who live in poverty. Learning their stories is probably helpful when searching for real solutions.

حذفI like the coat well enough, but I think it would look better over a blue top and trousers. The yellow is so bright that it detracts from the overall look. Also, I wish someone in the household would donate Q. Max’s platform shoes. She’s already such a tall woman, and these just look silly to me. (V.M.)
ردحذفI don't think solid mustard is the best color on Maxima but she seems to be quite fond of it and it goes well with her coat. The lady is the burgundy cost looks very nice. MD
ردحذف"Whoa!" is what I yelled when I saw the first photo & it didn't get any better. The coat by itself is nice, but the whole outfit is hard on the eyes & the red nail polish clashes. It looks better on the model with less gold. Máxima overdid the gold & then added bright blue shoes. In one word: awful. |-Melanie-|
ردحذفI find nothing "laughable" about the Queen discussing poverty. You do not have to be poor to know how it affects those who are, especially when you want to make a difference. Fashionwise, I think the blue and gold (or mustard) is a great combination. In fact, it was my high school colors. The coat is beautiful and I think it coordinates well with the pant suit. I'm not overly fond of the wide-leg pants but I'm getting use to them. I agree that the lady in burgundy and black is very stylish, and I love her hair.
ردحذفOnce again I find myself coveting one of Maxima's coats. I think it's a very nice piece and the colour palette is quite beautiful. Not a fan of the mustard overload underneath. The blouse looks nice enough, and so do the trousers, but maybe not together? I prefer the white blouse the model is wearing.

People are still not used that during the winter one can wear bright colors. Everybody think it must be dark and dull. As for the shoes : the platform shoes are also in fashion again. This morning at the hairdresser I was reading in a fashion magazine that the trends for this winter are items that were on trend in the 70s : flared pants, platform shoes, bright colors. Queen Maxima is a lady that is following the trends. Bright colors go well together with her character. I never saw her in a bad mood, she is always optimistic, happy, etc...
ردحذفAbout her work as a Queen. She is not the only queen or princess that is visiting the organizations which are supporting and trying to find solutions for the poor people. This year there is more and more poverty even in the so called rich countries of the western world. If she can do something to help these organizations she will.
