    Quelle belle brochette de personnes qui ont été distinguées ; au niveau de la mode, j'aime beaucoup le tailleur/pantalon bleu-sarcelle porté sur un chemisier bleu pâle par la jeune femme à droite du roi ; avec les bottines grises, c’est efficace !

    I’ve always liked this outfit on Q. Max. The skirt is quite a spectacular piece and worn with the silk blouse it has a dressy, festive vibe. Unfortunately her legs look awkward in the photo. I’m surprised at this given that she must have sat for thousands of photographs over the years. (V.M.)

      V.M., i agree with your assessment. I've noticed this unflattering position of Q. Max's feet at previous events. It surprises me too.

    I've always liked this outfit as well. The colours, style and fabrics exude a certain visual richness that Maxima wears well. Her awkward feet position are likely because her heels are high and the stool she's sitting on too low. But yes, she should have learned to cope with this by now. Can't be the first time.

    They both look good, but the king would look better with the messy beard shaved off. Maybe he will get a new shaver for a Christmas present.

    Last year we had the exact same leg situation, too often, i will say Maximas legs, sitting or standing look rather awkward.

    Love the Queen's hairstyle and a beautiful outfit that suits her well. But, she needs to be mindful of how she sits and positions her legs and feet. I've seen other royals guilty of the same thing and it is always distracting.
