Yesterday evening, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended an official dinner at the Trademark Hotel in Nairobi, hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Kenya Resident Representative, Anthony Ngororano. Several presentations were made during the event, where Kenya's contribution to the sustainability goals and efforts in the climate fight were central.

First of all, Victoria is glowing! Her makeup suits her so well and her smile is enchanting. For once, I think her hairstyle also suits the cut of her dress. But the dress itself is... meh. Maybe the fabric doesn't photograph well, but the green portion looks cheap and clingy and the drapy bits on the side look like it's ill-fitting and pulling at the seams. I'd like it more if the lilac pattern had continued, because in the picture of Victoria sitting down, I actually think it's very pretty and she's paired it with some fantastic shoes and accessoires.

Honestly I have to say that I don't like the gown, because of the design and poor fitting for Pr Victoria. It looks better on the model. The hair styling should also be more attractive for the event.
ردحذفI agree this is an awful gown. The fabric looks like parachute material. And cheap parachute material at that. It doesn’t flow properly. She’s a lovely person with a wonderful figure. She could have done much better.

I actually had to laugh out loud when I saw the contrast of Victoria all glammed up and then the random screen with the football match and the lady in jeans and a pink wool jumper in the background. I suppose she's merely walking through the hotel lobby there, but it's still funny.

ردحذفGreat dress but how I wish it wasn´t this shiny! The material negatively affects both fit and movement. Also, there seem to be two versions of this dress, and I very much prefer the one pictured to the right without the hip draping, It looks a lot sleeker and sharper. Without the shine, without the draping and without the excess length we are seeing on Victoria, this would be a winner. As is, it´s nice but not wow. Jewellery is great.

ردحذفThis dress is dreadful. Does not fit well. It is too long. The side seams pucker even below the rushing. Fabric looks cheap and clingy. Strange midriff cut making her look 5 months pregnant. Love her earrings.

ردحذفThese one-sleeve-missing dresses just don’t appeal to me. I always think that the dressmaker ran out of material.
So it’s a NO from me. Sorry Princess Victoria.
p.s. I wish my neighbours would get rid of the word “old” when they refer to me as a “stick in the mud”. Words can hurt, you know ☹️
A big ‘like’ for the jewellery.

I am not sure what it is but this gown does not look good. The model wears it fine, though she may be taller than the CP. The idea is their for this gown, but execution is a fail. I am not a fan of the pattern design upper bodice and sleeve.

ردحذفUgly and ill-fitting dress. The drapy on the side look awful, creating strange folds when she's walking. In one photo there's strange bulk at her crotch. Doesn't she have a mirror? Also her hair look the same for the daytime and ebening events.
