  1. Cette longue tunique à fermeture croisée aux couleurs douces lui va à merveille surtout sur cette jupe noire !

Always nice to see her. I believe she was a very loved Queen. She is still a favorite of the people of the Netherlands. She has a smile for everyone, that goes a long way with the people. A simple black skirt and a lovely top, she looks as always great. css

I think she'd be fun to sit and have a glass of wine with.

  4. I love this blouse, its very pretty and feminine, blending in well with the skirt. The single strand pearl necklace looks lovely. Always a joy to see her.

Princess Beatrix in her usual style. She looks always elegant in these tunics/blouses she is wearing. This time I think the designer has exaggerated on the sleeves. It looks like the sleeves of some kind of lingerie.(see pic.5). I don't like the print of this blouse very much either. She has better colors in her closet.

    1. Agree. This is her usual fashion style. But it suits her and I think ,in this case, the variation to the theme is very good. I like the sleeves and the colour of the blouse. Always looking elegant.

@Anon. 07:24 : Maybe "she seems to age the most" but she is far more active than others of that age. I think it is not the number of wrinkles that make someone old. You can have a lot of wrinkles at an age too young to have them but for the rest being very active.

An unusual comment, I think. One would imagine you have access to her medical record. From her activities and displays of energy, I wouldn’t draw that conclusion. Nor from looking at her face in these rather low resolution photos.

If the comment stems from the fact that she passed on the throne to her son at a certain age while still in very good health, I believe her own country gave her a huge sign of approval. So not for me (and possibly not for you either) to judge how quickly she aged based on that. In fact one could argue she’s the one most aware of age limitations despite appearance. Not a discussion aligned with this forum.
