Japanese Crown Prince family hosted Bhutan’s Princess Sonam Dechan

Crown Princess Kiko, Princess Kako and Prince Hisahito welcomed Bhutan’s Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck

Crown Prince Akishino, Crown Princess Kiko, Princess Kako and Prince Hisahito hosted Bhutan’s Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck and her two sons at the Moto-Akasaka in Tokyo. Princess Sonam Dechen, a younger sister of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan, came to Japan for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s state funeral.

Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck attended the State Funeral of late former Prime Minister of Japan Abe Shinzo in Tokyo. As the representative of the King of Bhutan, the Princess attended the State Funeral. Princess Sonam Dechan also met with Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, and Mrs Abe Akei, wife of the late former Prime Minister of Japan.

  1. wow, those Buthanese national costumes are awesome, really wonderful. Japanese look bland and uninspiring beside them, it's pitty they don't wear kimono's more often.

    The Bhutanese national costumes are indeed beautiful. However, I find that princesses Kiko and Kako look lovely too…not at all bland. Judy

    1. Yes, Judy, of course are Kiko and Kako in nice outfits but in my opinion is no modern design above national costumes and japanes have very valuable and unique kimono's. I just have a wish they would wear them more often - this was perfect occasion.

    The Bhutanese Pss outfit is stunning. The colors are so alive. The CP Kiko and Pss Kako look very nice both in pastel colors. css

  4. The Buthanese national dress are stunning, such amazing fabrics. Long national costumes and so elegant, beautiful. So, striking in colors. The Pss Kiko and Kako look lovely, understated and very elegant.

  5. Je n'ai jamais trouvé à redire des costumes nationaux du Bouthan toujours aussi beaux, colorés en fonction des circonstances, même si Kiko et Kako sont vêtues sobrement mais avec élégance !
