On September 9, 2022, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain visited the residence of UK ambassador in Madrid to express their condolences for the death of Queen Elizabeth II and to sign the book of condolences. The King and Queen gave condolence to the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Spain Hugh Elliott.
