Queen mother on an evening out, dressed in her lovely style. Good for her to abdicate early and have some fun time in her life.

In the Netherlands we don't have a queen mother if so, she should be called kings mother. After a queen passes her crown, title and work on to the next generation she is called princess again.

Pss Beatrix never changes always a smile, always ready for duty. The older Royals are the great Generation who put work before themselves. This is so nice to see, especially in this world today. A lovely outfit for the Pss. css

  4. Princess Beatrix is a special lady, always smiling, always having a good time. Everyone seems to gravitate to her which means, in my opinion, that she is fun to be with. I love her black satiny top with the black trousers. Her multi-colored pearls are very nice and her earrings appear to match.

I know nothing about her personality ( or any other royal) but this woman transmit such warmth that I find myself always enjoying her pictures. As far as fashion I think that she’s always been proper and has a tendency to dress comfortable.

I find there is something very touching about a lady who does not resort to cosmetic procedures on her face, just like her sisters. Actually, a new kind of beauty develops, which is very visible on this photo, in harmony with hands and the rest of the body. Of course perfect hair and grooming are essential. Lovely example.

Virginia, you are so correct. I've always admired this about Beatrix, Elizabeth, Margrethe, & Paola. Beatrix looks very nice in these photos, a lady who is not afraid or ashamed to embrace her age. (I write this as a "natural" senior myself.) Don't get me started on Silvia. *Regina

So much energy. I love her black top and trousers. I hope she has a good health with all the work she is still doing. I always admired her.

  9. Elle a toujours la pêche ; le satiné de son haut apporte beaucoup d'élégance sur son pantalon ; son collier aux perles différentes ressemble beaucoup à celui porté très souvent par la reine Silvia !
