Today, The Principality of Liechtenstein celebrates Liechtenstein's National Day (Staatsfeiertag). In order to celebrate the national day, the citizens of Vaduz gathered in the garden of Vaduz castle. Prince Hans-Adam II, Hereditary Prince Alois, Hereditary Princess Sophie, Prince Joseph Wenzel and Princess Marie-Caroline attended the celebrations and the reception held in Vaduz. Staatsfeiertag is a public holiday in Liechtenstein and is always celebrated on August 15th.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw Princess Sophie's dress, I thought it may have been her wedding dress after a "re-look" had been done.
ReplyDeleteI checked out a photo of her wedding dress and no, her wedding dress was a magnificient satin?robe with no lace.
Have you noted that the lace on the top of her dress that she's wearing for the event has made a good hook for her glasses.
Off topic, but I have to mention that my heart always misses a beat or two when I see a photo of Prince Alois.
I do not like lace dresses anymore but this one looks very lovely. The lace is not too heavy and the design is really beautiful. About the Zimmermann dress, I like the design very much but not the use of the 3 different prints. It looks like a dress that has been made from leftovers.
