On August 6, 2022, Princess Anne, her daughter Zara Tindall, her husband Mike Tindall, their two daughters Mia, Lena and their one-year-old son Lucas attended the 2022 Festival of British Eventing held at Gatcombe Park in Stroud. Zara Tindall competed in the dressage phase of the Festival. The event takes place on a course designed by Princess Anne herself. The two-day event includes dressage, show jumping and various cross-country phases.

How lovely to see the Princess Royal out with her grandchildren, watching Zara. She looks great in casual gear, she is so down to earth and unpretentious.
ردحذفOn the front page of the London Daily Express this morning (08 August), there is a picture of Zarah Tindall wearing cut off jeans as shorts, just like her daughters'.
ردحذفIf cut off jeans is the new dress code for horse meetings then I guess we'll be seeing Camilla supporting this new fashion :-))
p.s. Zarah wears the cut off jeans well as she's got good legs.

Zara is not a titled or working Royal. She can wear Jean shorts if she wants and we shouldn't judge her for that. She's just a public citizen whose Mom is a Princess.
حذفI have a granddaughter called Zarah (with an H at the end). There are about five or more different ways you can spell the name. My son and his wife made the choice to have it spelt with an H at the end. The idea of the name came from a famous Swedish actress and singer called Zarah Leander. My son’s wife is Swedish.
حذف@CH : I take it you must have been at the” 2022 Festival of British Eventing” to be able to state that Zara wore nothing else other than her equestrian outfit. There is a photo of Zara with her son patting a horse’s nose at the event (see the front page of the London Daily Express, Monday 08 August 2022). The photo doesn’t appear on this blog. Maybe the newspaper has a copyright or exclusivity with the photo.
In the photo Zara is wearing cut off denim shorts, just like the ones her daughters are wearing. You may still be able to pick up the photo on the internet.
It seems some bloggers haven’t understood my comment about Camilla as a light hearted ‘fun’ comment and not an “attack/cynical remark”.
It is true that humor and the appreciation of it can change from country to country. I'm sure Camilla would see the lighthearted side of my comment.
And Yes @caune, Zara is “Mrs Average Citizen '' and there is no royal protocol that she has to adhere to about her wardrobe. She’s free to wear whatever she wants to.
Again, I repeat the comment I previously made about her shorts, “she wears them well and she’s got good legs”.

ردحذفThat has always been the dress code of non riders in hot weather. My sister’s horse won an eventing trial yesterday an in 90 degree (F) humid weather, it’s very practical.
ردحذفI always thought she would look better in casual outfits, but it looks like it is even worse than when she is dressed up to go visit something. The only thing I like here are the classic sun glasses, can't do wrong wearing that. She is more dressed to go fishing than to go to horse dressage, jumping etc.. Is it cold again in Britain that she have to wear long sleeves and a vest to keep her warm ? The other people and her grandchildren are wearing shorts and t-shirts so it can't be that cold.
ردحذفShe could be wearing long sleeves to protect her arms from the sun. Skin really thins as we age. I can imagine applying sunscreen all day isn't an option.

حذفI have the same problem and have to adjust my wardrobe in accordance with the weather/sun.
Being a red head myself I know everything about sun protection. There are sun blocks now that are not sticky and even if she prefers to wear long sleeves that does not explain the thick red vest she is wearing. And the fisherman's hat she is wearing can better be replaced by a real sun hat, because now the sun is still shining in her face.

حذفWearing sunglasses when the sun shines like we are used to this summer, is always recommended. Our eyes are very sensible to sunshine even if you don't have any health condition that requires the use of sun glasses.
