On July 28, 2022, The Prince of Wales, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall, represented The Queen at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. The Earl and Countess of Wessex were also in attendance.
The Prince of Wales gave a speech, during which The Queen’s message to the 2022 Commonwealth Games, which has travelled around the Commonwealth in The Queen’s Baton Relay, was read.

WOW!!! The Duchess of Cornwall and the Countess of Wessex look awesome! Camilla looks great in her pantsuit--gotta admit I would not have thought she would ever choose a jumpsuit but really like it on her. And, Sophie--gorgeous dress that looks wonderful on her!

Is D. Camilla wearing a jumpsuit? I love it! It’s such a change from her usual classic dresses. I’m less enthused by C. Sophie’s dress. It’s a very unforgiving silhouette, and a strong colour that isn’t all that flattering. (V.M.)
ردحذفCamilla´s outfit is a winner in my book. Interesting and different, yet totally in line with her style.
ردحذفSophie - I need a better photo to really make up my mind, but I think it´s a no from me. That kind of dress is very unforgiving, and although Sophie is in great shape, I think this dress will not do her any favours. I really love the deep teal colour though, it looks fantastic on her.

حذفCamilla looks fabulous. What a brilliant outfit for this event and it proves that doesn't always wear the same shapes! I wasn't keen on Sophie's dress when first wore it but within hairstyle she looks lovely and animated.

ردحذفTimes are a changing. I'm bowled over. For a horses and hounds, true-blue country girl, that's really something. I wonder if Prince charles is going to get into the swing of things e.g. jeans, open neck shirt, trainers etc.

حذفI LOVE LOVE LOVE Sophie's hair. This should be her style for a while. Camilla looks great in a jumpsuit. At first I was sceptical but the more I look at it, the more I like it. ~MS~
ردحذفYou see Camilla you must not be afraid to try something else now and then. She looks good in that jumpsuit. A pity it looks a bit like her summer dresses but then with trousers instead of a skirt (same sleeves, same zipper in the middle,...). But I admire her that she is doing her best to look better.
ردحذفI love the idea and color of Sophie's dress, unfortunately silk satin is a material that shows everything. Perfect underwear is important if she wants to wear a dress like this. From what I can see of, I think the dress is a bit too tight. The green color suits her very well.

The more I look at Camilla in her pantsuit/jumpsuit, the more I see ABBA 1970's.
ردحذفCamilla looks elegant and exquisite. Anna Valentine is doing a wonderful job at outfitting her. Sophie’s dress is too shiny and too tight for my taste.
