On June 29, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands travelled by train to Austria’s second largest city, Graz, together with President Alexander van der Bellen and his wife Doris Schmidauer on the final day of their state visit to the country.
In the morning, the King and Queen visited the automotive company AVL. Afterwards, the King and Queen paid a visit to the mayor of Graz, Elke Kahr. The King and Queen then attended a lunch hosted by the governor of the federal state of Styria, Hermann Schützenhöfer, with a focus on women in the organization STEM.

What is that on Q Maxima’s head? Very awkward. Dress is queenly drama and I like it.

The wigs are getting thicker and longer, really awful.
ReplyDeleteDon't do cape dresses anymore, I always get a batman idea. I think the king had a good time. Betty
QMaxima does not wear a wig. She has hair extensions which is not the same. If I were her, I would not exaggerate with extensions either. It is not very good for the natural hair.
DeleteI’m not crazy about this outfit. The billowing, uneven hemline of the dress combined with the awkward (and unnecessary) hat make it too busy for the occasion. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteNo to the head. I like the other version of the dress
ReplyDeleteShe looks ridiculous with that head piece and she has very bad and unelegant posture.

Agree with you completely Lily.
DeleteThe sooner we forget this total miss in every detail, the better,

This dress and the headband with flower is not beautiful anymore. The only thing to do is to give it to the textile recycling.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of this dress or hat. Maxima could do way better than this.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit, could be nice, if she was going to an evening function, and didnt wear the hat. The wigs are more obvious as time goes on. Wish she would just cut her hair shorter, she would look so much younger with a fresh hair cut, and stop wearing these strange pieces of a hat or fascinator on the side of her head, it looks so funny and odd.
ReplyDeleteOnce again in a cocktail outfit for a train ride and a factory visit. Doesn't she have any appropriate day ware? Ladyofthemanor
ReplyDeleteIndeed
DeleteThis is my least favourite outfit from this visit but it’s okay. I love any royals wearing hats but this time I have to say, the hat adds nothing to the outfit or to the Queen. AnnieM
ReplyDeleteI like her shoes very much and will give no further comments because today I want to be only positive
ReplyDeleteThe dress and headband with flower and even the fan in her hand , everything is wrong . But that is Maxima one day her clothes are beautiful the next day not.

Oh dear, another cocktail dress instead of day dress. Have to admit I don't really like this dress--I might be swayed if the uneven hemline was evened out. I do like the fabric and pattern. But, I am trying to find anything about the styling that I like--the headband with the gigantic flower needs to go into one of her daughters closets but minus the flower. The belt is too heavy for the floaty-ness of the dress. Sorry, today is a miss for me.

This is a very soft looking and feminine outfit. The patterning of the fabric is very pretty. Its interesting the model version as opposed to the version the Queen is wearing.
ReplyDeleteMuseum-Piece and a don't mean Maxima. Nice lipstick though. -Anna-
