On May 26, 2022, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited the Discovery Centre (DISC) in Cambridge, the research and development facility of British-Swedish pharmaceutical and biotechnology company AstraZeneca. The King and Queen, are visiting the UK for 2 days with the aim of maintaining the relationship between the two countries. Their visit includes a tour of AstraZeneca's Discovery Centre as well as the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Life Sciences.
I was surprised to see the King and Queen of Sweden visiting the UK and no English royal to greet them. Does anyone know if there will be a meeting with English royals?

حذفNo state occasion, no official working visit on a bilateral royal level. Only a short business trip to a british-swedish company. That happens more often than one thinks, sometimes it even goes unnoticed by the media. Also, given the impending Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the UK, there might have been a clash of diaries anyway.

حذفThe King and Queen of Sweden are visiting London to attend the premiere of the new avatar show of the swedish pop group ABBA on Thursday evening. I think this is the main reason for their trip to the UK.

Very nice rich color purple suit. The Queen looks fantastic so is the King BTW. Would have been nice to hear they are visiting the Queen to, but not this time?.

حذفI have just read on another site (Saturday 28 May) that the hoped 'tea-time' meeting with Queen Elizabeth didn't take place. It appears that the queen (Elizabeth) had left for Balmoral in Scotland for a rest before she participates in her jubilee celebrations next week.
