Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended the Home Guard's May 4 parade at Kastellet in Copenhagen. The Home Guard traditionally marks the anniversary of Denmark's liberation on 4 May 1945 with a parade at Kastellet. The Crown Princess became a member of the Home Guard in 2008, a sergeant and lieutenant in the Home Guard in 2009 and a first lieutenant in the Home Guard in 2015.
This lavender dress with shawl collar looks great on CPM; I believe it's a rewear. Her hair in a ponytail looks good.

Very nice coat dress. Fits her well and the colour suits the occasion well.
ReplyDeleteShe could have worn something on her head but since it wasn't a very formal event, I suppose she could get by without anything.

I can´t see the point of extending the lapel into a dangling shawl-like flap.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Vanessa. The extended lapel is unattractive, I think.

I think the same.

Agree with you all. The coat dress is a perfect fit and a great colour but the dangling flap is unnecessary
Deletelooking like Duchess kate today, hair and style.
ReplyDeletetimeless elegance.

Beautiful, elegant, and very simple look from CP Mary! Janet
ReplyDeleteLovely, elegant ensemble. I like the added interest of the shawl neckline. (V.M.)

DeleteElรฉgante Mary dans cette robe-manteau de couleur lavande ; dรฉlicats ses petits clous d'oreilles !
ReplyDeleteSo elegant. Princess Mary has the most beautiful posture, she could wear a sack and it would look wonderful. Kate seems to be modelling herself after her these days, posture is everything for your outfit.
ReplyDeleteHi Sharni agree with your comment. think both kate &, mary have great postures & taste. So nice to see timeless elegant & classical look. Mary
DeleteCatherine isn't modelling herself on her. I don't understand why people think fully grown adult women with their own preferences would be copying someone else.
DeleteThe dangling piece of shawl, obviously their is a reason, but I don't like this hanging piece. The colour is a beautiful shade of blue. The fit and cut is perfect. Love the navy blue leather gloves.
ReplyDeleteLovely coat dress. Love the color. Not sure about the dangling shawl but otherwise very lovely and elegant look from CPss Mary.

@Elisa.
DeleteThe "dangling" shawl is a bit too long. Should end in the middle of the dress' skirt. I first saw this way of wearing a shawl collar on a dress Natan designed for Queen Mathilde 2 years ago.
Salute, Princess/ First Lieutenant Mary!
ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful and flawless on this occasion too.
She is appropriately dressed for this visit.
Bella lei e bello il vestito.
ReplyDeleteE Frederik non c'รจ in ina giornata come questa|
Princess Mary certainly knows how to hit that nail on the head.
