On the fourth day of her visit to Cambodia, Princess Marie visited the province of Takeo. There, the Princess paid visits to a number of farms working in the field of rice cultivation and grasshopper farming. Princess Marie also visited DanChurchAid's partner Cambodian Center for Independent Media, which is an educational institution where young journalists can gain experience in investigative journalism through practical training in a newsroom.

  1. Some more lovely pictures, in spite of the uneven hem.

  2. Nouvelle petite robe dont j'aime beaucoup l'association des couleurs ; je laisse à Marie le soin de déguster ce qui semble être des sauterelles ?! Peu importe, je les lui laisse !

Lovely casual dress PM's wearing of which I don't mind the uneven hem; it suits her well. Would have preferred other casual shoes underneath it though.

MCS These kind of sandals are especially created to be worn in a hot climate.( f.ex. If your feet are swollen they can be adapted). It is not a fashion item .

@Anonymous 19:09: I know these kind of sandals (own them myself) and agree these shoes aren't a fashion item; having said that though there are more elegant versions available which would like nicer underneath this lovely dress.

I would imagine she did. It is probably considered rude not to once it is that close to her mouth. She is braver than I am, that is for sure! My son ate a grasshopper once. He claims it wasn't a big deal. ~d

There is a lot of insects and worms that can be eaten. It has been said by scientists a few years ago that men will be eating insects instead of meat. Insects are full of proteins.

  8. I like the dress and the print but not the hem.
I'm of the generation where a hem had to be straight otherwise the dressmaker got bad marks.
I remember my father having to pin mark the hem of a dress that my mother had sewn using his handyman ruler whilst she stood on a chair.

  9. Like both colour and print of the dress. Agree with MCS that there are smarter versions of walking sandals which would have looked better

The casual dress pattern, color and fit are good, though I am not a fan of uneven hem lines. The shoes are comfortable for climate and where she was, looks fine to me. The grasshopper, no big deal. I ate strange food when visited Japan.

Princess Marie cooks 🦗, she eats them and serves them to the media journalists and photographers with chili and lemongrass. 🤩
There are wonderful videos on the Royal House's instagram from the visit to Cambodia . ❤️
