On November 11, 2021, The Countess of Wessex attended an Armistice Service in Bedworth, held on the occasion of Bedworth Armistice Day 2021. Thereafter, The Countess of Wessex attended Bedworth Armistice Day parade on its 100th anniversary. This year, the Parade took place for the 100th time in the town, which has the longest running annual parade outside of London.

The Countess then laid the first wreath at the war memorial. The town is known as the 'town that never forgets' as it is the only one outside of London to have observed two minutes' silence on the eleventh hour on the eleventh day on the eleventh month since 1921.

Afterwards, The Countess of Wessex visited the Guide Dogs National Centre in Leamington Spa in her role as patron. There, she toured the facilities, including the laboratory, the hydrotherapy area and the puppy block. The Countess received patronage of Guide Dogs from Queen Elizabeth's cousin, Princess Alexandra, in July. The Countess wore a new belted wool-blend coat by Lanvin, and a wool midi dress by Roksanda.

    1. Yea, I'd rather look at those than that ugly coat, lol. But she looks beautiful.

  3. Coat and dress are too long. On the model the length of the coat is perfect and also the combination with the boots. Good colors for the countess. Lovely pictures of her and the puppies.

    1. Agree. Lovely color combination that works great with Sophie's coloring but the coat and the dress are too long.

  4. those models must be slender giantesses if the coat and dress are so long on the countess. She is not that small. The dress is very nice but topped with a shorter coat not such a good combination. The black boots on tht model also look better than the beige.

    1. Sophie is probably around 165 cm (5 ft 5 -- if my conversion rate is correct), and I guess the models may be around 175-180 cm ( 5 ft 7 - 5 ft 10). In addition, I guess the size of the models is around the same as Sophie's, if not a size smaller. Sophie has the same problem as many of us smaller women with normal proportions: if you buy ready-made clothes, they are mostly made for tall and thin women. And if you shorten the hem or sleeves, the proportions of the clothes change.

  5. If I had to rate her on cuteness, she would get an award for the puppy pictures, but in regards to fashion, I think this is a pretty bad look. The coat is enormous and ill fitting, the length is just not a good choice with the length of the dress. Her hair needs a proper cut, style and treatment, even a bad choice in clothing can be saved by a well groomed mane.

  6. The whole outfit looks sloppy as well as her hair, sad to say. Usually she is better dressed and hair done well, though I never like her longer dresses and coats, this just does not work. gemma

  7. Definitely not one of the Countess’s better looks. The coat itself is too long but might have just about been okay without the even longer dress. The dress is far too long. If she buys off the peg, she needs to find a seamstress who can alter these overly long dresses.

  8. I don't understand Sophie's choices for such longer lengths ! They completely swamp her ! The coat does nothing for her. Tied as it is, look bulky and unflattering. The dress is almost touching the floor. Sophie has a beautiful figure and would be better suited to knee length tailored dresses/skirts. Ana

  9. Sophie is beautiful even if the fit of her clothes is imperfect. In the pictures with the puppies, she radiates beauty.

    1. She may be beautiful in your opinion, and may radiate beauty, but alas we are talking about fashion choices.

  10. Sophie is usually dressed well. I'm not fond of the length of the dress and coat. Her hair may have been blown about by the wind, but she usually takes that sort of issue into account. Otherwise, she looks good, always ready to take on any task. Ann
