Danish Queen Margrethe visited Munich, Germany

Queen Margrethe was officially welcomed by Prime Minister Markus Söder and Karin Baumüller-Söder

At the invitation of Germany’s President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Queen Margrethe and Crown Prince Frederik are making a state visit in the country from 10 to 13 November 2021. On November 12, 2021, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark continued the visit alone in the state of Bavaria’s capital, Munich.

Upon arrival, Queen Margrethe was officially welcomed by Prime Minister Markus Söder and Karin Baumüller-Söder on the square in front of Residenz München, which is the former royal palace of the Wittelsbach monarchs of Bavaria.

Queen Margrethe then visited Glyptothek, Munich’s oldest public museum, which was built by the Bavarian King Ludwig I to house his collection of Greek and Roman sculptures. Thereafter, the Queen visited Munich Urban Colab, which is part of Europe’s largest entrepreneurship center "UnternehmerTUM".

  1. Le style tailleur/jupe lui va toujours à merveille ; élégante sa petite veste sous laquelle je vois dépasser le nœud lavallière d'un chemisier ; belle écharpe à motifs ethniques ?! La jeune femme blonde qui l'accompagne lors de sa visite à la Glyptothèque a beaucoup d'allure dans cet ensemble robe/veste aux motifs orange et rose !

  2. The first three pictures are from Berlin, showing Berlin cathedral, likely taken from the roof of the newly built castle in Berlin.
    In Bavaria, Söder welcomed Margrethe but cancelled the planned banquet in the evening, because of the high number of corona cases.
    It´s sad for me to see that the children are wearing masks outside, while the adults aren´t.

  3. Lovely! HM looks so pretty in blue. Love how her scarf (probably to add a layer of warmth) adds that very Margathe dash of art to her ensemble.

  4. The children are precious in their outfits. The Queen is dressed well for the weather, though her shoes look like they might not be the most comfortable. Ann

  5. Size wise, the hat QM wore earlier this week fits her so much better. The petrol blue looks great on her, but I think the whole thing is a bit messy.
