  1. Oh dear NO! This is not a flattering armhole style for the Duchess. The comes a time in ones life where if one is going to wear a sleeveless dress/top it needs very careful tailoring and construction to look ok. I think a tiny cap sleeve and a wide boat neckline would just look so much better on her.

    1. Thinking the same thing here, a high neck sleeveless top with no fabric around the shoulders is just not flattering and makes no sense to me. The duchess has nice arms and can show them, just that style imo is not good on anyone.

Yes, your observations are spot on.
As an older woman myself i can tell you even with daily workouts, the arms aren't what they used to be!

The skirt is lovely on the model, but somehow seems to be bulging on her hip. And long sleeves would definitely have been better! - Ellie

The upper part of the dress is not flattering.

What an elegant skirt and she paired it with such a pretty blouse. I also really like her hair styled this way. Great look!!

Nice hair and jewellery . This dress has no shape . So no for the dress .

  6. Beaucoup d’élégance dans la jupe mais le haut ne l’avantage pas du tout ; je pense qu’avec une petite encolure et des petites manches, elle aurait plus d’allure ; j’adore ses boucles d’oreilles !

  7. Sadly I dont really like this at all. I dont think the outfit does anything for Sophie either colour wise or with the cut of the top. The hairstyle at the back is lovely but from the front it is severe and I would love to see a cut which is more youthful and styled.

Sadly nothing very flattering with this outfit. Why Sophie continually wears long skirt/dresses I don't know ! A shorter A line skirt and a sleeved blouce/top would have been a far better option for her. Her hair and make up in lovely. Ana

    1. I've noted that after a certain age, English women wear their skirts/dresses with the length almost to the ankle.
Part of English fashion style for older women perhaps.
But not seen in other countries.

  9. Sophie looks great for her age, but should stop wearing halter designs and sleeveless tops that draw attention to her upper arms. This dress also didn’t flatter her hips, which is a shame, because with the proper tailoring and design, she can look great.

Yes to the above. Sophie is not toned enough to wear a top that bares so much arm and shoulder. Letizia is someone than can, but at a certain age, it takes work. I don't like the high neckline on her either. She looks better with an open neckline. I like the skirt itself, but not on Sophie. It does not fit her properly, and it looks too long on her. I know this skirt is meant to be longer, but she is wearing it longer than the model. She seems to avoid tailoring, which is a shame. A little bit of work on a garment could improve the appearance immensely. ~d

  11. To me her hair would have looked much better styled in a low chignon!

  12. I think Sophie looks great here. I like the flowing skirt and see nothing wrong with the shirt. I also agree with Renee, her hair looks quite nice!

  13. Personally, I loved her with short hair. The dress has to go. She's is one of my favorites, but this is not a flattering look.

    1. I also liked her shorter hair, long hair can sometimes age by pulling the features down. I agree this dress is not at all flattering
