On August 31, Crown Princess Victoria visited the Sustainable Fashion Hub on Norrmalm in Stockholm. During her visit, the Crown Princess met young female fashion entrepreneurs from four different fashion companies. Stockholm Fashion Week is taking place these days. During the fashion week, a "sustainable fashion hub" was opened on Norrmalmstorg to highlight the fashion industry's work with sustainability issues.

  4. That´s a very nice suit. The jacket fits her very well and looks elegant with the simple top underneath. The trousers are a bit too long (or the heels a bit too low), so pity about the trousers dragging on the ground. Still a very nice outfit. With something as simple as this, and in a monochromatic neutral colour as well, the cut and fit is crutial, and this one is good. Necklace and earrings work well with this look. I normally like stronger colours better on Victoria, but with her skin tanned nicely after the long summer break, the beige looks good on her.

Great! Simple, clean lines work so well on Victoria. I love this neckline on her. It immediately gives her a more youthful appearance. The view from the back does look like the blazer could use a little shaping, and the trousers look too long. From other angles, the blazer doesn't look as boxy and the trousers look shorter. It is nice on the eye to see her in a monochromatic look, as she is so often wearing dizzying prints. This looks so much more sophisticated and chic. ~d

  6. What a chic look for CP Victoria, love it! Plus. I absolutely love the lady in the gray/blue sleeveless blouse and leather look maxi skirt.

  8. I like the suit but think it's a bit big for Victoria - the jacket is loose and the pants of course too long.

  10. I read with interest some of the comments above about the trousers and the fit of the blazer. This is a very good example of when the overall fit is sacrificed for the sake of fashion. If you look at the photo of the suit on the model, Victoria does indeed (from the front view anyway) attain “the look” intended by Helsinki design house, Andiata. However, the backs of both the ‘Jane’ blazer and the ‘Kamille’ trousers are another story. As someone noted above, the pants are indeed touching the ground (her left pant leg actually looks to be under her left stiletto heel). The back of the blazer does not fit her frame well. The key to women wearing menswear is perfect tailoring. If you go to your search engine and type in, “Queen Letizia pantsuit photo” or “Katharine Hepburn pantsuit photo” you will see that these two other fans of menswear, (both about the same height as Victoria-- 5’7”/5’8”) have mastered the fit: Loose fitting in the right places but still tailored enough in the others to provide good proportion and an overall sophisticated presentation. Because of the juxtaposition of the female form in the male attire, we should notice the woman all the more ~because of the suit~ we should not think she has simply put on a man’s suit.
