At Øksnehallen in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended the Human Rights Conference held as part of the Human Rights Forum taking place from 16 to 20 August. This year, the Human Rights Forum is held in connection with WorldPride & EuroGames. The conference, which is held triennially, is based on topics such as education, art, sports, culture, sexual well-being and health.
Britt Sisseck Dalia shirt
3.1 Phillip Lim flou pleated twill wide-leg pants
Jimmy Choo Romy Pumps MaxMara Whitney Bag
wide pants have to be long ... perhaps a bit too long.
ReplyDeleteI like the Royal Ladies of Denmark, they are always Happy & Smiling.
ReplyDeleteThis is not her usual style of pants, its more common with Charlene and Kate, but she looks good anyhow.

What the Hell with the pink clown pants and over puffed sleeves?? Love her umbrella though.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteLooks like the circus is in town.
...ck
Me too
DeleteI adore Crown Princess Mary and her style but my first thought on seeing this outfit was - "The 90s called - they'd like their outfit back." Everything about the construction of that blouse is horrifying to me.
ReplyDeleteNice trousers!
ReplyDeleteWith the amount of human tragedies, injustices & human rights violations, genocides, humanitarian disasters etc. continuously happening in the world, focusing a UN human rights summit on "pride" people is a slap in the face of those who really suffer.
ReplyDeleteThe rainbows popping up literally everywhere these days are ridiculous and achieve absolutely nothing other than virtue signalling. What a shallow, shallow world full of hypocrisy we live in.
Very well said. I couldn't agree more.
DeleteWell, there are still many countries where people may get killed because of their sexual orientation, so it certainly is not hypocrisy at all.
Delete- B.
Well, there are still many countries where people may get killed because of their sexual orientation,. If that isn’t suffering then what is?
Delete-B.
There are lots of different people in the world with different needs. It's not for us to decide which is more important or more valued.
DeleteWhat a ridiculous sight of her laughing it up carrying her rainbow umbrella while twelve year old girls are being forced to marry men in Afghanistan right now...That is a real humanitarian crisis!! I agree with you, Vanessa.

The second cause of death in many teenagers is suicide because they may be confused about their sexual orientation and feel they may not be accepted in society and have no where to turn but to take their own life. As for rainbows I would much rather look at them than MAGA hats!
DeleteThe causes of death in teenagers vary greatly inbetween countries, ethnic and religious groups and sexes.
DeleteSadly, suicide rates are rising, that´s true, but most are due to broken families, violence, depression and indeed, and to a large extent, caused by the very problems I named above: human rights violations and humanitarian disasters.
Whereever pride people enjoy full legal rights, human rights are not violated. This is definitely the case in most western countries.
Their is - at least in western societies - no problem with the acceptance of rainbow people (their choice of term, not mine), evidenced by the rainbow flags literally everywhere.
The suicide rates associated with gender problems are generally not caused by confusion about sexual orientation or gender identity but rather a result of transgenderism, meaning that teenagers going through "treatment" experience massive distress, as hormonal medications tend to cause depression and surgical procedures oftentimes don´t reduce but increase gender identity problems with not-so-few regretting their decisions (or the decision made for them by their parents).
I stand by initial comment. These human rights conferences achieve nothing for the LGBTQI+ community and instead gravely neglect the true humanitarian issues in the world.
Car crash related injuries are the leading cause of death among adolescents age 15-19. When is the last time we saw any royal talking about that fact? Her pants are huge and not attractive as they make anyone look larger than they are. Maybe Queen Letizia could pull it off and not look bad. As for the MAGA comment...since you brought it up...I will take that any day over these awful pants.

I like these trousers. The detail is fabulous. They look best on a very slim figure, which she has. I love the width and the length. This is just a throwback to the 70s, but with more style. Back then, we pushed the width, and the length had to come as close to the ground as possible without actually touching. That is the way the trousers are shown by Phillip Lim. The pink shoes are a good choice here, keeping the line of the leg unbroken. I would have preferred a more streamlined blouse on her, but this blouse is keeping with Mary's style.
ReplyDeleteI would hardly call these "clown pants" (Anon 16:47). Maybe the clown comment was meant for the gent walking next to Mary? ~d
You need long slim legs to pull these pants off. Sky high heels are not enough.
DeleteOne of the worst outfits ever on CP Mary. Makes me think of turn of the century movies / shows, when women dragged their long skirts around in the mud. Something more professional looking for a serious occasion would have been more appropriate. I tend to agree with Vanessa, there is a lot of virtue signalling going on in our shallow World.
ReplyDeleteMary didn't need to take that purse along; she could've stuffed everything into those pant cuffs. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteGood one @ ~Laurel~
DeleteThanks for putting the first smile on my face for today.
Dear deadeggs: I hope you've had many more smiles! ~Laurel~
DeleteI get the idea behind this look but she did not pull this out very well, it looks messy and too big on her.
ReplyDeleteDP
Her outfit .......... love it. She carries it off with style.
ReplyDeletep.s. looks like everybody is having a good time. So nice to see.
That man walking next to her in the first photos looks absolutely ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteOh @Coralie no.
DeleteHe is a "Dandy Dresser"
I love his get up.
I'd love to have him and Q. Maxima over for dinner.
It would be a great fun night.
"Dandy"? I think of Oscar Wilde. Or the late Prince Philip when he was dressed up. Or perhaps you know the former Pop-band Spandau Ballet, or Prince (the artist formerly known as Symbol;-)) or Bryan Ferry. These men are Dandys. But that man next to Mary is simply wearing a mismatched hodgepodge.
DeleteYou are right Coralie. He doesn't fall into the classic classification of a "dandy". Maybe on his invitation it read - dress code - fancy dress :-))
DeleteWhatever, everybody seems to be having a good time which, for me, is the most important.
I reconfirm my previous comment, that is, I'd love to have "the fancy dress man " and Q. Maxima over for dinner.
There are aspects of many comments that hit the mark here. I do like the construct of the pants, such a throwback but with more style. Love the pink color and the choice of the pink shoe. She has the frame to make them work. I wish these pants didn't have that cuff, they don't need that stop at the hem, they need a fluid, clean line. But the blouse is the true crime here. Those voluminous pants don't need a partner. And her bag choice isn't the best. Just let the pants talk and let everything else fade away.
ReplyDeleteChel
I love both the pants and the blouse but not so much together, too much volume on top and bottom. The pants do have a serious retro vibe but so much better than the ones I used to wear :-) I like the way the blouse is worn by the pictured model. This may not be a 10 for me, but she can definitely make most outfits look good.
ReplyDeleteCherry
The shirt is pretty like three quarter sleeve don't like the pants they look like parachutes would be nice as a skirt though. Mary I
ReplyDeleteI think she is looking great. It's a bit different but she wears it well. Love the colours.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! She took a risk. More important is the diversity in society that is represented here.
DeleteM.
Not everything what is in fashion is nice.
ReplyDeleteAva
That chap with P. Mary looks so happy and cheery ;he is the type of person we all need. Sorry P. Mary looks a bit bland; pants like that looked pretty ridiculous as they did the first time round; suede choo shoes not great in wet weather. Hair looks just right; raining in Denmark this time of the year an early break to the season. Tabby
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the dark pink color. The pants have cuffs which take away the classy updated look they could have been. jj
ReplyDeleteLove that she dares to wear something so different and like the trousers and blouse. Not so much the purse but that is a minor detail.
ReplyDeleteDonot bring politics into this site: looking at the worlds situation makes enjoying the expensive clothes of royalty ridiculous, but we enjoy it nevertheless!
Josh
Mary looks great , love it. su
ReplyDeleteModa o no moda la sientan mal estos pantalones a Mary, mas teniendo en cuenta que llueve, van limpiando la calle, son para darse un tropezon enganchandse los zapatos en el dobladillo.Espero no vuelva a ponerselos.
ReplyDeleteShoes are stunning, I would wish for a slim slightly cropped pant so we could see them! That would balance better with the puffy shirt.
ReplyDeleteMrs Cleaver
Mary seems happy that the corona lockdown is over and she can again show off new pieces of clothes and accessories on a frequent basis. I don't think she will use this white/pink ensemble again. It was just to symbolize the day.
