On April 14, 2021, Princess Anne visited the Royal Victoria Yacht Club in Cowes. Princess Anne met with members of the Royal Yacht Squadron on the Isle of Wight - the prestigious club the Duke of Edinburgh was once admiral of. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who died aged 99 on Friday, was Admiral of the Royal Yacht Squadron, patron of a number of clubs and president of the Royal Yachting Association.
This shows Anne's strength and love for her father. Takes great strength to step out like this, while being in mourning.

Lovely to see Princess Anne out and about.
ردحذفIn my view, there is no better way to honour a recently deceased person who was close to you, than by doing things that were important to that person, and things that honour their name and most importantly their memory. For me her presence at this event is a perfect example of that.
My utmost respect goes to Princess Anne for doing this.

حذفThe Princess Royal never shirks her duty. Her appearance at the yacht club was probably a good distraction from the sad ritual that lies ahead. I think she was dressed appropriately for the occasion, and attractively.

حذفThe weather in Cowes on the day of her visit (14 April) was cloudy and cold with a top temperature of about 10°.
Protective clothing overruled fashion.
However, she looked smart in her double breasted jacket with its nautical look and the accesories in the same colour tone.
Princess Anne has spent a lot of time in this part of the world as she is a keen sailor and participates in many competitions on the Solent Waters which are in front of Cowes and the Isle of Wight.
