Queen Elizabeth II and The Duchess of Cornwall made a video call to volunteers from the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) on the occasion of the first anniversary of the launch of the NHS Volunteer Responders Scheme. During the video call, The Queen and The Duchess thanked volunteers for their efforts during the pandemic.
The Queen is Patron of the RVS and The Duchess is President of the RVS. The Royal Voluntary Service has been one of the leading organizations that have mobilized volunteers since the outbreak of the pandemic. The charity has recruited nearly 1 million volunteers since the pandemic started.
