On December 4, 2020, Queen Elizabeth II held a video conference with newly appointed ambassadors. The Queen is currently residing at Windsor Castle. The Ambassadors were all present at London's Buckingham Palace where such audiences are traditionally held. However, to contain the spread of the pandemic, The Queen opted to hold a video conference remotely from Windsor Castle.
Newly appointed Ambassadors to the United Kingdom, Ms. Sophie Katsarava from Georgia, Mr. Gil da Costa from Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and Dr. Ferenc Kumin from Hungary and his wife Mrs. Kumin were received via video call by the Queen. Royal Communications released a number of photos from The Queen’s first virtual audience.

ردحذفThe Queen is a delight! I don't know why I was momentarily surprised to see a curtsy, then a bow. It took me a moment to adjust to the video conference. She certainly has lived through an astounding amount of history.
