On December 8, 2020, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Cardiff Castle to celebrate Christmas at the Castle with students from Cardiff University, Cardiff Metropolitan University and the University of South Wales. The visit coincided with Christmas at the Castle – a festival of Christmas activities staged at the tourist attraction throughout December.

The Duke and Duchess heard how the students have been supported with their mental health by their universities and student unions during this challenging year. During the 3 day train tour, the Duke and Duchess aims to pay tribute to individuals, organisations and initiatives across the country that have supported their local communities this year.

  1. Catherine looks amazing. Her half-down, half-up hair style, subdued make-up, red coat, matching plaid skirt and scarf, the black boots, gloves and sweater create a stunning look. Prince William looks quite dapper too.

  2. I'm simply ecstatic about this outfit. I haven't seen such wonderful combination for a long time on any of royal ladies. And Kate is a beauty.

  5. Wow!
    Katherine looks wonderful.
William looks good too, he maybe could have picked different shoes though.

  9. Gorgeous look, I loved this rock for the first time she wore it and the combination with this coat is perfect as well. Hair away from her face is the best she can do with her hair, because it lets her beautiful face and her facial expression shine. With half-up-half down the volume of her hair stays visible, but is not in the foreground. (-Ann.)

  10. I loved this skirt when first worn and it now looks wonderful with the coat and scarf. A chic, cheerful outfit which is perfect for the occasion. The hairstyle and makeup are great too.

    1. Agree. I was hoping she would rewear the skirt on this tour. It's a perfect skirt for this time of year.

  11. They both look great and red is a good color on Catherine. Fashion aside I'm a fan of them but I'm baffled by their trip amidst lockdown in britain. Isn't it a little tone deaf on their part....

    2. It's a difficult situation. If the Royal family did nothing, they'd be criticised for being too distant from the general public and too Royal.
I hope there is some time somewhere for them to enjoy their children.
Fashion side ........ a WOW vote for Duchess....... the red coulour is great under the sombre British skies and alined with the festive Christmas season. Yes, I agree, Prince William is looking quite dapper.

  13. This is just superb. I loved yesterday’s blue coat but this is a fabulous look. The red coat and the matching scarf and skirt plus the boots, bag and gloves. Outstanding.

  14. I've always loved this outfit on her when she's worn it before, but this time round, the star for me is her hair. Excellent.

  15. I'm so happy to see this beautiful skirt again, it is so gorgeous. The addition of the matching scarf is fantastic! Her hair is done brilliantly, that half updo is perfect. They seem to be having a good time on this little tour, so good to see.

  16. Duchess Catherine looks beautiful. I like her make up and hair especially. Her make up here is similar to queen letizia.

  17. I agree with you all that Kate looks beautiful! It looks like they followed guidelines for the Covid very carefully. Outdoor visits, distancing, masks and NO crowds. Well planned trip..safe yet enjoyable for everyone. They always get things right!

  18. I quite agree with Ana about the length of the coat looking best with boots. I also like that the length of the coat is similar to the length of the skirt. To me, the midi length coats look odd with dresses and skirts that are knee length. This is Kate’s best look yet. She looks fabulous in red! Great hair as well.

  19. What a couple they are... sigh...

  20. Wow love the coat and skirt; the scarf doesn't really add to the out fit, it needed fringed ends to make it more interesting. I like her hair style interesting. Not a fan of long suede boots ;it is obvious she doesn't have to clean them; ankle boots look better when you wear a long coat. Williams coat looks good and I like his scarf. Great couple doing a great job.
