    2. No, she is not pregnant

    3. I don't think so, she had a caesarian in May so she probably shouldn't get pregnant the first months. But she is accentuating her tummy by how she's holding her hands.

Eitherway, the dress itself is very nice for a summer wedding. Her loose hair looks nice too.

    4. It certainly looks like she is in the last trimester - and the dress style is clearly not helping her - but she cannot possibly be! She only gave birth in May!!! Maths and human reproduction cycles do not add up.... I believe it is simply a left-over tummy from the birth. It is well-known that some women find it much harder losing the pregnancy pounds after a cesarean than after a natural birth, and she had a cesarean .... Give her some time to recover.

    5. I don't think she's pregnant. She has a bit of a leftover belly after pregnancy which is really normal, it's not healthy to slim down so fast like Hollywood-actresses often do. The dress is not the best, another kind of shape would do her better.
      Else she looks fantastic.
I saw a pic on another website with a group pic. There we can see little Charles in his fathers arms, unfortunately they're far away on this pic. Would love to see a new pic of him :-)

The bride looks fantastic, her dress is really lovely, I like it a lot.
      hairstyle and tiara are great

  3. What a very beautiful bride!
    The dress is stunning.

Stéphanie is not looking good: the colour of the dress makes her look unhealthy, her unkempt hair reminds me of an other royal, and indeed, either she is pregnant again, congratulations!, or she doesnot enough sportstraining.

    1. Anonymous 11.34 - honestly! "... or she doesnot enough sportstraining" ?? If you can't stand how a normal woman looks after having given birth just a few month ago don't look at her!

    2. Anonymous, 11.34, Your comment regarding sports training is totally unacceptable and nasty. Stephanie is a normal, healthy looking woman, who gave birth 4 months ago. Where is there a time limit on new mothers loosing weight? I think she is sensible, taking her time. If you dont have anything nice to say, do this blog a favour and dont say anything at all.

  4. Who ever let Stephanie wear that dress or did not talk her out of it did not have her best interest at heart. She has made several faux pas in the past when it comes to her fashion choices!!!

    1. Yes, I agree with you.
She should consider changing her fashion choices.

    2. I have to agree, not the best choice of dress - colour, style, fabric, are all wrong for her post-pregnancy body shape. Hair looks messy too. More importantly though, I cannot help but notice that she seems unhappy - as far as one can tell from one single photo which could be just an unfortunate camera angle on a split second shot - but it reminded me of a number of occasions in the past, before she was pregnant, when she looked so unhappy and mentally absent. I hope all is well with her and the cutie pie P. Charles

  6. I don't think the princess is pregnant again. She gave birth to little Prince Charles just four months ago. She must have gained a lot of weight during her pregnancy and she is struggling to lose it.

  9. Gorgeous wedding but... second cousins who already have a child? Also, poor Stephanie just is having trouble losing the weight. That happened to me too!

    ReplyDelete
  10. @Amy.. so what is your point? Shouldn’t people that have a child marry, or is it the fact that they are second cousins? This is a fashion blog and you should save your moral judgments for your own private circle.
I love the wedding gown, and find the lace very exquisite, this dress will hold elegant in pictures even 20 years from now.
Nothing wrong with Stephanie’s dress, just a lovely color and style, and her hair looks styled, whether I like or not but the word unkept doesn’t seem to apply here. I personally can’t get over all the comments about her figure, come on ladies!! this is how millions a women look after having a child, specially by C-section, not everybody recovers at the same pace and they shouldn’t have to be subject for such passive aggressive comments.

    1. This being a fashion blog hardly matters any more. I think the fact that they are second cousins is what Amy is disturbed about. I know it disturbs me.

    2. Yes, I am also dismayed at the unkind comments centered around a very recently (and very normal) postpartum body.

I do have to agree with Amy that the marriage is a little questionable due to the relatedness of the bride and groom. Both their sets of parents are also second cousins married to one another and the bride and groom are related to each other many times over in other ways as well. There is a degree of consanguinity that is unusual and concerning. I'm surprised that the focus was on Princess Stephanie's postpartum body rather than this perplexing marriage.

First of all, the bride looks just ravishing and happy.....Second, The event planner could do better when renting chairs for a royal event.....They look like those cheap plastic ones you would find at Walmart, The gold ballroom chairs would be a better choice.....Sorry, I think attention to detail is everything.....This is not a backyard barbeque!!!

  14. The comments about Stephanie's weight are rude & unnecessary. She had a baby 4 months ago! I would love to see how those who are judging her weight looked four months postpartum.

  15. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume 's pants seem a size too large and too long. The color of the dress is too pale for an already pale Stephanie,. The bride and groom look well and happy.

  18. Beautiful bride, stunning wedding dress and veil! Hope we see more photo's of all the guests, later on. I think I see Astrid of Belgium, in green, and Alexandra next to her in a beautiful floral dress. And photo 3, Marie-Astrid [Luxembourg], and husband, behind the wedding couple. Many thanks again, to ADMIN, for sharing another aristocratic wedding, with us!

    1. Thank you to ADMIN, now I can correct my guessing game. It is not Astrid or Alexandra, in the floral and green, but unknown ladies. Thanks for the photo, which show the guests, a bit closer. And way in the back, Guillaume, holding the baby

  19. Anon@8:06, yes it matters to some of us, there are better venues for gossip and rude statements. If it bothers you that they are cousins, maybe you should talk to your therapist about it, I don't think this blog will be much help to take care of your distress about what a couple that is a million light years from you is going with their life.

    1. CB, please reread everything. Sandra F. jumped on Amy for her comments. My reply was offering some clarity--clearly it was about the obvious issue, not about two people who already have a child getting married. There is nothing wrong with being bothered with the fact that they are cousins. There is a very good reason close relatives don't marry and have children. Genetically, it is a bad idea. Historically, we have seen what has been passed through the royal families (hemophilia being but one of the more well known afflictions). I did not bring it up myself, and would not have, but I hate seeing the vitriol on this blog. In hopes of dampening a somewhat caustic reply to Amy, I replied. It is not only a moral issue, it is a medical issue. It is also a reminder of the arranged marriages between the royals, not that I believe this is one, which can be off-putting. It is easy to see why this marriage would trigger some responses. As for saying this being a fashion blog hardly matters any more, what I am saying is that I want it to be primarily about fashion but all of the infighting and off topic comments that are allowed to post, after review, have diluted the "fashion" part of this blog. There are times that fashion seems secondary to the drama. I appreciate you being prepared to fight the good fight. I hope to see you come out when this blog comes to written blows over another royal over actual gossip. There was no gossip here. Just a comment about one factual statement. With respect...

    2. Dear Anon 1:19, I think these days everyone knows that cousins marrying each other can cause medical issues, especially if it's done repeatedly.
But I think it's a bit ridiculous that for their parents' and grandparents' germination of royals it was considered desirable but now for them it's considered unacceptable. I can see why but it's a bit ironic.
I'm sure they are aware of the risks and they already have a child - so it's too late to consider what it might mean for children genetically and luckily the child seems to be healthy.
And yes, it's obviously not an arranged marriage or they wouldn't have had a child 3 years ago already.
These are very Catholic families, so the fact that they waited until 3 years after the birth of their child to get married, indicates that they gave it a lot of thought and are certain that this is what they want.
Here in Austria, where they got married, it is legal to marry your second cousin (though obviously not your first!), anything else is their own consideration.

  20. Beautiful bride and a gorgeous dress, which is elegant and timeless. Lovely couple. I actually didn't recognise Stephanie! The dress is an awful choice, making her look pregnant even if she's not (or if she's still carrying pregnancy weight). The colour is all wrong for her and while I think she has had her hair styled, rather than it being unkempt, I don't think it does anything for her. Even her face seems to have changed shape. I hope she is well. The bridal couple look handsome and happy. Congratulations to them.

  21. Bride and groom are young, beautiful, beautifully dressed and look happy as they should on their wedding day. I'm guessing the reason for the plastic chairs is that they can be disinfected, but that's just a guess. IMO Stephanie looks lovely. The soft pink and flowing fabric are perfect for a summer wedding, and the empire waist style is flattering for her current weight, it's unfortunate that the photographer caught her with her arms held against her body, seeming to outline her mommy-belly. She had a rough time conceiving, and I'm sure has physically been through the wringer. It took Meghan a year to get back down to her pre-pregnancy weight. It may take Stephanie longer. While I'm not a mother myself, I believe that new, nursing mothers are advised not to go on drastic diets, at least until they have done with breast-feeding. Since her pregnancy Stephanie has adopted a shorter hairstyle, it is nicely styled back from her face with a soft curl at the bottom. I'm unable to interpret her emotional state from her facial expression, but even the bride seems to be squinting due to the bright sun. Stephanie has always tried to fulfill her responsibilities and her role as Hereditary Grand Duchess, even if she doesn't always measure up to everyone's fashion standards.

  22. The bride looked beautiful, her gown is stunning. Love her floral tiara, beautiful blue stone, sapphire? the diamond leaves are very effective and the base is perfect. I think Stephanie looks lovely. Only 4 months since she gave birth, she looks to be taking her time loosing weight and very sensibly, better for her body. Its a shame a lot of the comments here, are pertaining to her weight and the fact she is still carrying excess pregnancy weight. So what? each of us are different, she will loose the weight in her own good time.

  23. Wow the tiara is beautiful;and as I live in Adelaide,it is special. The couple look particularly happy. The bridal gown is lovely. Nothing like kissing cousins to keep it all in the family;only the gene pool then tends to start to fracture ,and that is when you get some odd genetic malfunctions.

  24. Gorgeous tiara.

I actually think that Stephanie’s slightly bouffant, face-framing hairstyle is very pretty on her; perhaps it could have been combed out a little more smoothly, but I find it flattering to her, and would love to see it at a closer distance and from more angles. To me Stephanie does not look unhappy, just smiling slightly and concentrating on watching the ceremony.

  25. Anon@ 1:19. The first anonymous was ticked about a wedding of a couple that had a child and felt necessary to bring it up. I understood you loud and clear, you said it bothered you that second cousins were getting married and then proceeded to explain all the reason as of why is a bad idea and I agree that some of your facts are correct, I still don’t understand why it should bother you why this couple have made the decision to wed, it’s legal and is none of your business. Also I don’t see the need of bringing up issues that perturb you, on such happy occasion for them , but then again there are always people that feel that bringing negativity to the party is their duty
