  1. Good step from the Sussex family. I hope their second step will be that they will give up funding from Britain to ensure their security. Alternatively, their security can be paid by the Americans when they are already doing charity there.

    1. Why should the United States pay for their security? They aren’t working in any official capacity for the American government. Harry and Meghan can pay their own security like other private wealthy citizens which they choose to be when they stepped any from the Royal Family.

    2. False, they security after Mars 31 is being paid for by them as stated in the statement they send, after Trump in not sure why to say he would not pay.The Sussex said that they never asked the US anything and tha they security was paid for by them.

    3. No way do we want to pay for their security. We fought and won a war to be free of England and their ridiculous monarchy. Over here they are just Harry and Meghan and if they need/want security...they pay for it themselves.

@6:03. This young man was born a prince. He has stepped away from being a senior royal, much like Madeline of Sweden (#7), and moved to the USA. 'These 2' are not pariahs. They do not only make video calls in seclusion, but are going out there to help like Sofia of Sweden, and they all have young children at home. What is amazing is that mere kindness is understood.

The fact that Princess Sofia of Sweden helps as a nurse is nice, but this is only possible because she has a nurse for children and staff at home. No one would blame her if she had devoted her time to her children.
You know, sometimes it is better for high-ranking people to make video calls as if they were personally helping in a hospital or senior center. It is a complication for the security guard, it also disrupts the work of the institution.

This can be crutial for the survival of service providers. Non-profit organisations should help those who cannot help themselves.

Yes, calling people stupid, petty and judgemental is unkind. Even if true (and I´m not saying it is), it´s still unkind.
You all have to learn how to express disagreement without attacking anyone.
You will not prove any point by patronizing others, by calling them names, insinuate that they are lesser humans (wow...) and accuse them of "spewing their usual vitriol". It always amazes me how you can write such things and then still think that you are the kind ones.

      Delete
    7. Vanessa, the problem people are having is that you are on the opposite side of the issue as usual. It never matters how well an argument can be laid out by so many trying to express the opposing view, you never give an inch. At the very least, your comments show a lack of knowledge on a given subject. At times your opinions have been offensive. For example, the negative opinions on this thread are most likely from people who don't like Meghan and will never have anything nice to say. The difference with your comments are that they have been across a variety of topics--some pretty big ones at that. Too many people know your history and have come to expect argumentative remarks from you. Many of your remarks tend to trigger the people here, and I think you have to expect some push-back.

    8. "Yes, calling people stupid, petty and judgemental is unkind. Even if true (and I´m not saying it is), it´s still unkind."

That is some seriously confused thinking. Since when it is unkind to acknowledge if someone is being petty, stupid or judgemental? They are what they are by their choice. Perhaps if they weren't those things there would be less unkindness to begin with.

    9. "The problem people are having is that you are on the opposite side of the issue as usual."
      1. Please don´t talk about "people" when you really mean yourself.
      2. I´m not on the opposite side of any issue. I may be on the opposite side of your opinion, but that´s different. Also, there are many instances where I agree with people. You just don´t care to notice and instead choose to brand me as the blog´s "troll".
      3. Why is it a problem that I am "on the other side"? Why can´t I be there? Isn´t that just you admitting that you cannot tolerate my opinion?

You´re saying that your argument is well laid out? Well, clearly, there´s controversy here, or there wouldn´t be such a vital discussion (my comments are just 3 out of nearly 100).
You´re saying that I never give an inch? Well, neither do you. And why should we if the other side isn´t convincing us?
You´re saying that my comments show a lack of knowledge on a given subject. Generalizing, are we? Making assumptions. Why don´t you just calmly tell me where you think I´m mistaken instead of insulting me?
What do you mean by "my history"? So I like to discuss a variety of topics, including big ones, yes. And I will speak my mind. Why is that a problem? You´re saying that my remarks "tend to trigger people" (again - you shouldn´t speak for other people). Why do YOU feel triggered by my opposing opinion? And why do you think that giving me some "push-back" is the right way to respond? Why don´t you just disagree with me?

      And to Anon 9:13:
I have no problem with you acknowledging anything. The problem is with the calling. Mind you - neither you acknowledging nor calling something makes it true.

      Delete
    13. Many, many people have argued with you over a multitude of subjects. When I said "people", I meant "people", not myself. You do have people on your side, but you have made controvertial statements (more recently about COVID-19, as an example), which I never commented on, btw. Those that did are the "people". Here you have made assumptions about the financial status of the people receiving meals based on a picture of a well-kept lawn. You also assume it is no problem to hire help because this well-kept lawn obviously means wealth. To that I can only say maybe where you live, but not here--both to the meaning of a well-kept lawn and the ease/cost of hiring help. There are people that can live comfortably alone with their illness, but this virus is a game changer. If they go out and contract the virus, it could kill them. Without help from organizations like this, they would go hungry. Not everyone is lucky enough to have family and friends nearby to help out.

I never said I laid out "my" argument. I spoke in generalizations. "It never matters how well an argument can be laid out by so many trying to express the opposing view..."
As for showing a lack of knowledge, someone else just accused you of it above. You have been accused of it before. You are not the only one, either. You have made assumptions in the past based on I don't know what. A picture was behind your statements for this subject. You say I should "calmly tell me where you think I´m mistaken". Well, Vanessa, Anon 6:10 did just that. You did comment after that, but made no effort to acknowledge Anon 6:10.
As for your history, I wouldn't know where to begin. One that really sticks out to me is Meghan's capsule collection for Smart Works in September 2019. I went back to refresh my memory, and your opening comments were shocking to many. While you did have some who agreed with you, (a few I recognized as people who can't say a nice word about Meghan to save their souls), you had so many explaining the opposing point of view. So many examples of the value of dressing for success, who would benefit from the charity, and explaining, ad nauseam, that the women the charity benefits were NOT the ones buying the clothes. Women who could afford the clothes would be buying them, basically buying two garments, because one would be donated to Smart Works. After these attempts educate you and others, and suggestions to research Smart Works and the capsule collection to clarify any questions or confusion, and a second post by you that says "I am always puzzled at comments accusing me of hate...", you posted a third time admitting "I did not research it, yes, and you can hold that against me, but I reacted to what was already contradictory and made little sense. And I´ll stick to my point."

To that end, I will stick to MY point. A few minutes of research goes a long way. I still maintain you react with little to no knowledge, and yes, these comments have triggered people. That is evident by the types of reactions you have received from some of your posts. Vanessa, what I said has been pointed out to you before. You genuinely seem confused by some of the reactions you elicit. Maybe this will help give you some clarity.

Anon@ 10:31, actually is quite easy to understand, they want privacy in their private life, like when they walk their dogs, their child, or they are going to the doctor, just like any other person that is in the public eye, politicians, royals, actors etc., people don't have a right to know about this part of their lives and the press has no business sticking cameras in their faces. When they are doing public appearances for whichever cause they don't object to be photographed or to greet people. Is that so hard to understand?

    3. That was the point. Back in UK for almost 2 yr there was not a pap photo of them walking dogs etc. So why all the fuss and move to Central station LA of all places. Also, normal people doing good deeds don't seek attention to themselves.

  34. Isn't this blog about fashion?
Also, what's there to comment on fashion here. It's a lounge pants, an expensive one too, and black shirt.
As for all the hoopla about their good deeds. I think it's still a PR exercise.
As for their security I think PCharles will continue to fund some, though there's not a clear account if uk taxpayers money still being used as well.
But really folks, there is covid 19 to worry about. Let them have the limelight if it makes them happy again in lala land.

    2. @MaryT: As long as you open up every post you see about them to satisfy your burning curiosity they will never get in the shadows. So no 'hopefully' for you, sorry to say.

  35. I am glad to see Harry and Meghan helping out, in their own way. This may upset some, as for me, it brings happiness in these difficult times. Good for those who get the comfort of food, good for them for bringing comfort.

Sending good wishes to all frontline and essential workers, and to those of us helping by staying at home for them.

  36. I guess there is no way to have your cake and eat it too. He obviously wanted a different life to get away from the press, yet the good in him wants to continue to do good deeds and that will be in the news so at the end of the day he has to be tolerant as well and accept this is not a "perfect" world!!!

  38. They both do have plenty of spare time to do good. She's an unemployed actress and he was trained to never work a day in his whole life. Mrs Mojo Rising

  39. I just think it's such a joke these two are doing "good" in front of camera yet treat families dismally.

  40. Using language as a medium for insulting, belittling, threatening, mockery, ridicule and exclusion and disregarding is violence. This violence has just one goal:
Telling the other person is a scandal and the articulating person is the moral. The person who is the addressed one should no longer be perceived as a person with value. Using language as a medium is using language to create an asymmetrie.
Infantile love follows the principle: "I love because I am loved." Mature love follows the principle: " I am loved because I lovel."
