Queen Mathilde contacted with representatives of welfare associations

On April 9, 2020, Queen Mathilde of Belgium held a video conference with representatives of the welfare associations ATD Fourth World, Lutte pauvreté (Combat Poverty), and RWLP (Réseau Wallon de Lutte contre la Pauvreté), which fight against poverty, social insecurity and social exclusion, and work with underprivileged people who are particularly vulnerable during that difficult pandemic period. The Queen was given information about the current situation.

  5. I've been delighted to see many royal ladies - Kate, Maxima, Leticia, and Mathilde among others - wearing their hair in a very relaxed fashion. At a time many hairdressers are closed in a number of countries and people are shut out of their normal routines, it show empathy.

It's worth remembering when telling people to 'chill' that we are from all over the world and facing a wide variety of pressures and in some cases grief. You might be telling someone who is dealing with tragedy or huge financial difficulties not to be 'jealous and bitter.' I've been taken aback that those who are preaching tolerance often come off as very intolerant - assuming all are in the same position they are and react in the same way.
