King Willem-Alexander and Maxima visited Prambanan Temple

On the second day of their state visit to Indonesia, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited the temple complex of Prambanan. It is the largest Hindu Javanese temple complex in Indonesia, and its name means ‘many priests’. Afterwards, the King and Queen were given a tour of the temple complex, and attended part of a traditional Ramayana performance and a concert by the modern music group Rubah di Selatan. Queen Máxima is naturally statuesque and beautiful. Her composure is regal. She wasn’t born a queen but she stands and carries herself as one of the most regal queens in history. Her kindness and happiness are visible in every photograph. God bless her and her lovely family forever.

  3. Completely agree with you, @Marie-Therese. She is certainly a smart, kind and happy lady. All very befitting a queen.

I really like how well she wears these wide-brimmed hats. It’s one of my favourite royal (hatted) looks. Together with Queen Elisabeth millinery choices. Chrissy

    1. Totally agree in this way that its not the right model for her. Makes Máxima really pompous. This model would be nice for Kate who is tall and slim.

  6. I love this dress and look very much. The dress is the perfect pleated style for Maxima and the hat has a nice Asian tone to it. The dress colour is perfect for Maxima, echoing her warm skin tones, and the whole outfit has a cooling, breezy look to it. The photos of them with the temples in the background are fantastic. Well done.

  7. What a lovely background. Maxima looks perfect from head to toe. What a beautiful brooch. I would love to look into her jewelry box, everyday a new piece.

  8. Maxima a beaucoup d'allure dans cette nouvelle robe imprimée à pois avec une légère capeline judicieusement choisie... Magnifique sa broche !

  9. I love this Zimmerman dress. The color looks great on Maxima. The hat is a nice compliment to the dress. Its oversized brim is very reflective of Maxima’s personal style. I don’t love the gloves but understand why she might be wearing them right now.

  10. The hat is a replica of the hats the Indonesian women who worked on the tea plants used to wear.
It is nice. The dress...I’m not sure about it..

  12. Maxima's dress is gorgeous and she wears it very well. Her hat, gloves and shoes, not to mention the brooch, complement the dress perfectly. Her best look on this trip, I think. All the photos are beautiful.

  13. I love this outfit. The hat is lovely. Gloves, clutch and shoe colour are spot on. The addition of a brooch is the perfect finishing touch.

  14. Glorious — this beautiful dress is so appropriate for a state visit; it would have been a perfect choice for Maxima’s arrival in Indonesia.

  15. Unlike many of you, I have liked all of Maxima's outfits for this visit but this may be the best yet. Great colour, style and fit for the Queen. The accessories are spot on and she looks great

  16. She gets off the plane in a party dress, with shoulders showing, then has a fan and long sleeves and today, more long sleeves, and gloves, in a very warm climate and the shiny stockings. Combine that with his pants that are wayyyyyyyy too long, looks tacky.... JT .... The hat is not too bad, her typical way too wide style, which does not make her look any smaller, just makes the hat look too wide.

  18. The dress is a great color and love the dots, but I do think there is too much fabric. Whenever she wears these very wide hats, all I can think of is...flying saucer. I know peope say that is just Maxima, however I think she looks much better in smaller hats.

  19. I like this ensemble. She likes more complicated pieces, not that this is but I guess in contrast to some of the other queens. She looks lovely and feminine.
