  1. The Queen on this occasion looks just as everybody expects her to look, or even greater: elegant, queen-like, beautiful, sophisticated, sternly and since she's a tall woman, the warm, subdued red shade lets her stand out agreeably.
Her coat gives the impression of being modern, but not stylish, and the matching hat is maybe not the very very best choice, but appropriate.

    1. I like the color quite suitable for season & weather today, design more questionable for her. I prefer shorter coats for her.

Toutefois, trop de rouge tue le rouge.

  6. A nother day to remember in not a very distant dark History in Europe. I like the Queens hat and coat combination. Nice to see this day being remembered at least by two Royal houses. I think the VP Mike Pence should have represented the USA not Pelosi. We shall never forget.

  7. My Grandpa was a scout in the BOTB, and was consequently hit with shrapnel in the head, arm, and back. Was shipped to a British hospital, and he came back to America in October 1945. Received a Purple Heart for his injuries. He never talked about his experiences in that Battle, which must have been horrific.

I am so glad to see the rememberance of this Battle. The Queen does look lovely.

    1. Royalty fan

I know this is a fashion blog. I just want to remind Marybeth in Florida, that all the war's, through the ages, were horrific, brutal.

  9. What a great look for Mathilde. The color is lovely. The coat is fantastic. I like she went monochromatic, classy. I don't mind the hat, it is simple, non-fussy.
