The dress is lovely and the Countess looks smart and festive in it. Alaia is known for his excellent (and sometimes unusual) shaping. She appears to have 2 different hairstyles as well: a clip and then a pony tail. I love how engaged she is with the dear child and her commitment to such a worthy cause.

This is a beautiful dress on C. Sophie - lovely colour, good fit, and flattering length. I really dislike the plastic clip in her hair though. It’s way too casual. (V.M.)

The Countess of Wessex has the ability to show compassion and respect to other people. She doesn't make a star of herself, yet she is still elegant. If other members of the British royal family (!) act like her, they would not have to complain about the media attacks.

Funny how we (I include myself) kind of forgive her for her lack of "nice" hairstyle while we comment more on Maxima's look. Maybe because hers looks like key and Maximas looks disastrous?
    I find her dress lovely

I donot understand your comparisson: its mostly the lack of effort we dislike in Maxima’s hair; You cannot say the same thing of D. Sophie
