| On December 6, 2019, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited Queen Fabiola Children's University Hospital (Universitair Kinderziekenhuis Koningin Fabiola) in Laeken, Brussels. Inaugurated in 1986, Queen Fabiola Children's University Hospital is the only Belgian university hospital entirely reserved for children's medicine. During the visit, the Queen received information about the specificities of the hospital at the dialysis unit, the intensive care unit and the new operating room with high-tech robotics. |

ردحذفSaint Nicholas is one of the sources of the popular Christmas icon of Santa Claus.
At least in Belgium and the Netherlands, St. Nicholas is for children, and not commercialized as Christmas like in North America. I have been in Canada for 63 years, and each year I hate "Christmas" more. It is so commercialized that it has absolutely no meaning as a religious feast.

A wonderful visit, for staff and patients, I can only imagine how it lifted their spirits. The Queen looks lovely in red, very festive for this time of year. She looked lovely.
