King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited Rishikesh, India

The fourth day of the official visit of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden to India continued in the state of Uttarakhand with a visit to Rishikesh city on the river Ganges. There, the King and Queen had the opportunity to talk to young environmental and climate fighters together with the head of the environmental organization Center for Science and Environment. Afterwards, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a traditional ceremony on the holy river Ganges.

Thereafter, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia and the Indian Minister for Water Affairs, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, attended the inauguration of two water treatment plants in Haridwar. The treatment plants are part of the national project aiming to clean the river Ganges. In the afternoon and evening, the King and Queen met with experts on nature conservation and sustainable forestry.

    1. Yes agreed,but why isn't there a ton of comments flooding in about Queen Silvia's smart pants suit being topped off by her wearing training shoes ?????? Everybody's busy doing Christmas shopping perhaps????

      Lol, deadeggs. It's a matter of comfort over style I suppose and I love Q. Sylvia for it :)
      In any case I think it looks quite OK on her; given all the walking and the heat perhaps? Now I have to dash off to get that Christmas tree!

    Older ladies dress comfortably and according to environment and weather.
    Younger ladies are mostly for fashion and appearance.

    I think it is absolutely right that Queen Silvia wears sports shoes on this occasion. Often I wonder at other personalities when they wear high heels with all vehemence, although it fits neither the occasion nor they can go with it properly.
