On December 27, 2019, Kensington Palace released four new photos of the Duchess of Cambridge, taken during her visit to Kingston Hospital’s Maternity Unit in November. In addition, Kensington Palace released an open letter written by the Duchess of Cambridge to midwives at the hospital. In the letter, the Duchess of Cambridge thanks them for their work and says “You are there for women at their most vulnerable; you witness strength, pain and unimaginable joy on a daily basis.” (The Duchess of Cambridge wore a geometric print dress by MICHAEL KORS.) |
Nice to see these exceptional women together with the Duchess having a nice cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the dress, I am afraid, too long, too old-fashioned.
ReplyDeleteLong is fashion

DeleteMignon petit imprimé ; superbes les boucles d'oreilles "Kiki MacDonough" qu'elle a l'air de beaucoup aimer.. Porte t'elle des bottes ou des collants noirs opaques ?!
ReplyDeleteI don't like this dress either. Neither the style nor the colour. But I am sure the duchess has a small repertoire of absolutely unremarkable dresses for occasions where it would be not appropriate to draw attention on herself - like this one. All the nurses in their nurses' attire and a fashionably dressed duchess, I don't think that would be good.

Duchess of Cambridge looks simple and lovely while talking with the midwives , nurses and mothers . I think she looks just right and perfect for the event.
ReplyDeleteThe dress was lovely, suitable for the occasion, not bringing attention to herself, but just there to do a job, while Catherine was interacting with the incredible women who bring life into the world.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeleteMust have been a great visit. The baby sleeping the time away. I like the dress but not the black stockings, regular ones and heels would have looked nicer OMO.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, this is a perfectly normal, working-style dress that is necessary for visits of this kind - giving rightful attention to the purpose and the people doing such good work.
ReplyDeleteEvery royal (and non-royals) need to have these kind of outfits on hand.

Pure perfection, simple lines, smart belt to accentuate the waist, perfect length and boots, yes!,,
ReplyDeletePlus she is just visiting with my colleagues... bravo.
Agreed, perfect for this visit, such a great one!

For this type of visit, the Duchess looked perfectly well groomed for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteI believe that Catherine is expert and role model of Mental Health, especially young children. I have been impressed with commitments of Catherine to raising an awareness of importance of mental health during an early stage of chiildren.
ReplyDeleteI think this dress is very nice on the Duchess. It could look dowdy but she is thin and tall. She is dressed appropriately for the event. They staff were going to be in scrubs. Anything more would have been overdressed. This was a good choice.
ReplyDeleteKudos to these fine health care professionals!
It looks as the Duchess has enjoyed her visit - Bravo. Aar
ReplyDeleteThe dress is ok but the choice of black stockings spoils the outfit. -Siri
