Spanish Royals attended FPdGi's 10th anniversary conference

On November 5, 2019, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia and their children, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia attended "El talento atrae al talento" (Talent attracts talent) conference held on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of The Princess Girona Foundation (FPdGi) at the Congress Palace of Catalonia in Barcelona. In 2019, the FPdGi will invest 2.8 million euros in programmes to benefit young people. (Queen Letizia wore a new leopard-print silk blouse and midi skirt by Victoria Beckham.)

Letizia looks so elegant , I love this dress and the red shoes are an excellent choice . The young princesses dressed also very chic and color co ordinate with mom.

Yes,they are very chic. Beautiful family.
But the princesses seem to be working hard to make a smile. They sometimes show a tired look I think.

  2. If I was a leopard I would be giggeling in my paws at the name of this blouse and midi-skirt. Whoever gave them that name has never seen a leopard or even a photograph of one, It is not even a black and white version of a leopard. Remember a leopard does not change it's spots.

    1. The dress comes close to ugly, as does everything from Victoria Beckham.

Such a smart outfit on Q. Letitia - an interesting print accented by the red shoes and bag. Question - is the bag red on one side and black on the other? The young princesses look great too. (V.M.)

  6. I like Sofia´s top, her pants not so much.
I like Leonor´s trousers, but her jacket not so much.
Letizia´s outfit is too much for me. The skirt part looks nice, makes a nice casual summer skirt. But the pattern is too busy to wear it from top to bottom. And while I like the red shoes, I think the whole outfit had looked much better with flat shoes.
The winner here is Felipe. I like his tie-less look, he´s a very attractive man. I only wish his shirt was crisp white instead of this very pale pink.

Je préférerai le pantalon de Sofia sans ceinture.

    1. My understanding of Spanish is basic but understand your comment. I agree fully. It must have been a more difficult occasion than usual since there were demonstrations against the royal family in Barcelona, while Leonor had made such an effort to speak also Catalan.

  10. Aaaargh, so much pattern. Love Leonor's outfit---I can cope, just, with horizontal stripes on young girls. I don't like Sofia's tucked in sweater with the very high waisted trousers and have swithered over Letizia's outfit. Love the shoes and bag, of course and the blouse is fantastic but there's just too much pattern in the skirt for my liking.

The older princess often looks younger than her age and fragile, and the younger princess seems much more confident and able to assume public facing work.

Obviously you haven't heard Leonor's speeches in many languages. A photo says nothing. Her father is like her and he is a very educated and great diplomatic. Confidence is another thing.

Leonor's body is fragile like her mother's. This of course does not mean that she is mentally fragile. We saw her not long ago perform public tasks - my impression: she did it exceptionally well, very calm, without any visible sign of being nervous or insecure.

    3. They both look young for their age, and Leonor in particular seems to be a late grower. She will likely have a growth spurt at some point and catch up to her sister. And looking young will later work in her favour.
As for confidence, I don´t share your impression. Listen to the speech Leonor held last week (or so), it was very very good for someone her age, in front of a large crowd and with the whole country (and more) watching. Also, there´s naturally less pressure on Sofia, and she has (so far) been spared from any public speaking, so that might also explain why she maybe looks a bit more relaxed.

  12. Letizia looks so fine, this dress is not spectacular but has good fluidity and the pattern is interesting, the best are the shoes and clutch. As a principle I don't comment on kids' outfits, but I would like to mention, that the high waisted pants are now a total trend, funny how the same teenagers that were wearing super low cut jeans a couple of weeks ago, are now dressing in "Mom Jeans" ... they are here to stay:-)

@ Ann. Fashion is cyclical. What is old is often new again. Sofia looks like she could have stepped out of the movie Grease. Stylish girl. -B.

Buena dicion, buen discurso, puede ser intimidante leer en presencia de tanta gente,
lo ha superado,ha sido un autentico exito. Bravo Leonor.

I am not normally one for these sort of prints, but this is the exception, I love this two piece ensemble. The silk would feel divine to wear. Love the colour choice of shoes and clutch. Perfect finishing touch, the Queen looks so elegant and oozes class. The girls looked lovely, they are a real credit to their parents. Leonor's speech was incredible. She is going to be a wonderful Queen one day.
