  1. This is a rare Letizia miss for me. The suit fits well but the placement of the feathers ruins the whole look. Her earrings are gorgeous though. Felipe looks handsome and the girls are well dressed. I like the bow detail of Sofia's dress.

    1. I fully agree on both points!! It is trendy, attractive and fitting perfectly well.
Beyond that it looks as if there has been a turn in their representation tasks : the princesses are much more involved than so far. I hope this is not too demanding for their age.

    2. MaryT...it is Leonor's debut as the Crown Princess and her responsabilities as her father did at same age.

  5. Leonor is very confident in her role. They all look beautiful.

  6. You can see so clearly how proud the King is of CP Leonor. The two pics where he is watching her speak and giving her a hug afterwards are just priceless. What a lovely family. DMP

  7. This is a fun outfit - a simple, well fitting pantsuit with hairy/feathery sleeve detail. It’s a bit zany but I like it! She’s wisely kept her accessories simple too. (V.M.)

Of course I know they are special princess but I'm very worried that these two school girls are too busy every day.

    2. This has been a busy month for them but most of the time the girls are out of the limelight. This was Leonor’s first time presenting here and at the Princess of Asturias Awards. The King & Queen cleared their calendar on last Friday it is assumed they enjoyed a nice 3 day weekend as a family to celebrate Leonor’s birthday.

  9. The princesses dresses are beautiful and once again Leonor's has the edge. She looks fantastic in this great red outfit but I love Sofia's white dress as well. The Queen's outfit is okay but nothing great, certainly not up to her usual level of stylish. I wonder if she deliberately chose black to allow her daughters to shine?

    1. Agree, she allows her daughters to shine and her daughters look as beautiful as their mother.

  10. I think this is the first time I've ever liked feathers on an item of clothing. Without them, this exquisitely-tailored outfit would be too plain; with them it hits just the right note, imo. While the monochrome palette and subdued jewelry ensure that the princesses shine brightest, Letizia rocks everything about this look, right down to the elegant satin clutch. Fabulous.

    1. I read in the news that there were demonstrations in Barcelona against the royal family and their visit. Leonor was certainly aware about it and that must have been an additional stress for her. Poor girl.

  12. I am in love with this pantsuit, perfect tailoring, impeccable length, and the feathers just turn a sober black outfit into a sophisticated and chic ensamble. Perfect hair, and of course discreet jewelry. I am so glad that she is wearing Pertegaz again, he has always been a beacon in the fashion world.
The princess and infanta, look beautiful as always, they are at that age where they seem to be changing by the week. Beautiful family.

  17. Perfect outfit of Laetizia as always. However I really do not understand that the Spanish king and queen expose their children so many times in big public events.
I feel really sorry for them.

    1. It is not a exposure, it is the debut of Leonor as a Princess if Asturias and Girona as her father did at same age. They are royals so they need to act as that. In Spain we do not have spongers strolling around.

    2. In Spain they have been criticised because people could not see them. Here the Royals must be in public, they have responsabilities.

    3. Agree. I got a slight culture shock.
      This is probably Spanish culture.

    4. It is the people who has asked that Leonor must start with her role. In these country to be in the royal family is not a great deal , if not a hard work.

    6. Anonymous @ 6:53, I am dumbfounded about your comment, you must not follow the Spanish Royal Family very much, these girls have lead very private lives, in fact they have appeared in front of the press on very limited occasions. Queen Letizia has been vilified and accused of hiding her daughters by all kinds of trolls and the tabloids, oftentimes compared to other European families. I remember reading about how she should follow the example of queen Sofia, and allow more press access to her children.... I admire both parents for staying true to their beliefs and not succumbed to the pressure, now the time has come for the heiress to start her public life, and all of a sudden you think that is too much?? Really some people always have to find the negative...
      Oy vey!!

    3. Leonor ha pronunciado sus primeros discursos como princesa heredera como hizo su padre a su edad. La casa real la educa para el papel que va a desempeñar.

  20. The pantsuit is well constructed and fits superbly. The feathers add interest. High fashion is never meant conform. There must be some feature to differentiate it from the sameness of day to day styling. The girls are quite poised, dressed age appropriately and a credit to their parents. A thousand compliments to the mother who has taught the family to speak well in public. Hopefully it is back to school because there are many years of formal education still left to conquer. -B.

  21. Hoy dia todos los padres procuramos dar la mejor educacion a nuestros hijos, como hacen Felipe y Letizia, bravo por ellos las niñas son encantadoras, me gustan sus modales, son tan dulces.

  22. The girls are dressed beautifully. At 14 Leonor can start thinking of wearing age-appropriate low heels with her outfits, I'm sure her mother can and will guide her expertly in her choices.
